Interesting thing is, Sephiroth is the polar opposite of Cloud in terms of having a "reason to fight"... in the sense that he enslaved himself to his reason. After his defeat at the end of his debut game, he desperately clung to existence, refusing to meld into the Lifestream like everything else. To pull this off, he shed parts of his spirit, reducing himself to his one strongest feeling; his resentment of the man who defeated him TWICE. Now he's just a vengeful ghost who's obsessed with Cloud Strife. Having no reason is bad, but reducing yourself to that reason isn't much better. I think Cloud knows this; that's why he said "You're the one who can't let go".
Mohamed mohamed vall Before Sora arrived, Cloud had already defeated Sephiroth twice in their debut game; once seven years ago via backstab and sheer adrenaline, then again in the final sequence via mental Omnislash to the face. Sephiroth is never going to let that go.
Pokin Ryan i think you're trying to say that the dubbed line were made to match the original lip movements which is probably the correct answer Honestly though i don't think it would have been very difficult to just animate the lips again for english
I just realized something. Firion, Cecil, Tidus, and Cloud were the group for this and their respective chapters right, I think Cloud originally being with Firion, Cecil, and Tidus was a reference to the fact that VII & X and II & IV shared the same universe with one another. With VII and X being connected because of the X-2 character Shinra, while II and IV being connected because of Kain and his father Ricard in the FFIV Remake. I know it's a bit of a stretch, but it does sound like it's something Dissidia's doing because it's made to co inside with the 20th Anniversary of Final Fantasy.
Lol how does Sephiroth get off calling Cloud a traitor when it was him who betrayed soldier and massacred the town. Cloud's only betrayal was running away from being a test experiment.
In 012 after Cloud's defeat in the hands of Chaos, I guess Sephiroth could not take it anymore without Cloud or his missing memories of Shinra. So... he killed himself to be brought back in the next cycle
For anyone still asking about this. Sephiroth did kill himself to test his theory. He realized the more the heroes of cosmos and chaos fight, the more memories they awaken, and that this battle cycles are eternal. Shinryu revives them each time they die and the cycle begins anwew. So, Sephiroth realizing how pointless all this was, decided to test if that was true by killing himself, even tho he knew that if the theory was correct he would lose the memories of testing it.
So cloud was brought into the world of Cosmos and Chaos 3 times in his life and returned back home, but at which points was he summoned? (My guesses) 1st time (Duodecim 012 Dissidia): Alil after Zack pasted away when he was solo as a mercenary 2nd time (Dissidia): I want to say after Aerith was slain by Sephiroth 3rd time (Dissidia NT): After advent children His attire gives it away
I would love to play this game one day, thank you for sharing. I hope Square Enix will listen to the fans and either remaster the Dissidia series on the PSP or port to modern consoles.
Sephiroth is another child that was taken away from his mother for a stupid experiment in crisis core Genesis another experiment told him that his mother was Genova which made him go crazy when really his mother was with hojo the whole time if you played the last game cloud could have told him that and probably ended their conflict but he didn't .. they could have used dissidia to bring everyone's beef into some type of closure but instead they locked everyone in this endless spiral of causality I never ending game of heroes and villains
@solidv2 Sephiroth was Cloud and Zack`s mentor and friend, after finding out about the JENOVA Project Sephiroth went batshit insane and declared war on the entire human race to avenge the cruel experiments Shin-Ra performed on himself and Mommy Dearest.Over time,Sephiroth`s spirit would learn to control others with the same combination of Mako and JENOVA Cells as himself,Cloud being his favorite of these "puppets".It was through this influence over Cloud`s memories and the JENOVA Cells that Sephiroth was able to create his Remnants and the Geostigma disease.Technically, the real Sephiroth is dead. The Sephiroth in "Advent Children","Kingdom Hearts" and here is in fact the JENOVA aspect or dark side of Cloud`s own consciousness shapeshifted into Sephiroth`s form through his fragmented memories(That`s one of JENOVA`s powers as Sephiroth himself states in the original game FFVII).
they're each others reason when Sephiroth was still Soldier Cloud idolized him in a sense Sephiroth torments Cloud to become his reason to fight, to make him into the hero he strove to become, and what Sephiroth once was And only with a reason to strive can Cloud protect what he holds dear
@@AspieMediaBobby sephiroth is neither cloud or zack’s mentor. He doesn’t know Cloud. He’s Zack’s friend, but not mentor since Zack’s mentor is in fact Angeal.
@@RandoPassingBy even without counting Crisis Core (which retconned a lot of things to make Zack's story more dramatic) how would Sephiroth ask Cloud how it feels to come back to his hometown if he didn't know him? He wasn't his mentor, true, but he did know him. No matter how shallow their connection was.
Until a couple of years ago, I realized that the concept behind Dissidia was taken from an anime (Fuuma no Kojiro). Now, I'm not saying that Square Enix are a bunch of plagiarists or any of the sort (well, the Nes and Snes games borrowed a lot from Star Wars anyway), but the similarities are too close to ignore...
@@RandoPassingBy Yeah, the story and the core concept are identical to the “Holy Swords” arc of Kojiro. But here’s the thing: The original Squaresoft staff were all huge anime fans, and Masami Kurumada was in his heyday (Shiva’s signature move is called “Diamond Dust”, just like a Saint Seiya character’s.). They also got the artist who created Speed Racer to draw the FF characters to this day. This is more of a homage than anything.
i don't get it cloud's va sucked in advent children, kh, and this, but is suddenly great in crisis core. also who pronounces tidus teedus. tide-us makes more sense what with his swimming and having a whale for a dad.
It IS tee-dus, because that’s how the Japanese marked it to be. Oh and crisis core is alright, but i dont think is great since… That last scream really made me laugh
@@RandoPassingBy my OG comment might be nine years old but tide-us just sounds better than teedus. just because they made a decision doesn't mean it was a good one.
1st 8 seconds.... gay! i see cloud is a little too under the weather and speaking like hes got no spine. but at least he's logical. oh this KH clash with FF... i knew it was gonna happen.
Jaegar Ultima lol my own words? Please quote the actual text where I said anything about flipping voice overs in original comment. n maybe reread my reply to your reply cuz I changed it a few times.
Jaegar Ultima reread I didn't call u stupid. Also it's ridiculous to argue with someone over thoughts that were nvr expressed plus u just said you can quote me aka use my own words?? if u expect me to recall u from some other post then u can really kick rocks lol. Again reread all this n youll realize your lunacy. Lmao "imply" I'm literally telling u, u have wrong idea that is the truth wtf. I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT BLOODY VOICEOVERS I'M SAYING THE GAME PERIOD FUCKING SUCKS. the story line, the presentation, some of the characters personalities, the kh appeal.
thats all?... the story is so disappointing for me. They have a point (the characters) but its so lacking of substance, its like an unnecessary sequel, of a sequel that was already finished. Or is it that this is an AU? On the other hand, is a good video game visually speaking, and all that... but no for me -_-
it's Teedus not Tiedus JAT calls him Teedus square calls him Teedus Nomura calls him Teedus every game outside of X/X=2(because his name is never said outloud) calls him Teedus just because you prefer the former doesn't mean it's correct
