The emperor's error wasn't his motivation but the hubris of his quest to control everything. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The ff2 spin off also suggest he may suffer from DID.
Before you fight Mateus in Stranger of Paradise from normal missions from the world map, or sometimes in the Rift Labyrinth, I heard he used the battle quotes from NT.
Power isnt absolute. Is Just dreadful and obscure as it could manipulate people just like puppets. Even a strong emperor just like him can be devoured by it and being controlled in every step as the mere puppet that he truly is. Every of us is nothing but the puppet of another emperor that desired to control and be controlled. To abuse and to being abused. So, tell me, isnt It delightfully diabolic? 😂😂😂😂😈😈😈
Sunny's Trivia Fun Fact (With Spoiler Alert): His Dissidia Art Even Have A Similarities To Jareth (The Goblin King)'s Design In The Sequel Manga. Just Like The Goblin King And His Interest Of Sarah Williams, He Had A Some Interest In Terra Branford Or His Own Favourite Little Concrete Angel Was Nanako Dojima (Yet IDGAC, Did Nanako Calls Mateus Is A Big Uncle?). With His Expression Of Disappointment In The First Game, Terra's Likely To Be Back Under Their Control, Kefka (Or Kanon/Sonora's 2nd Uncle) Will Have Control Over Her Or In 012, He Offered To Have Her Under His Own Command In Kefka's Stead After She Had Trouble Obeying Kefka's Demands Due To Kuja (Seira/Ari's New Friend)'s Interference. And Then He Didn't Like To See Nanako Crying That He Tells Her To Stop Calling Him 'Big Uncle' While He Get Along With Her, But Just Like Jareth's Obsession, He Became Obsessed With Her And Nanako Knows That Something Wrong With Him.
After watching the latest "FF" today, I had to return to "FF 2" and "Tactics". And it is as I suspected. The thing is, "FF 2" and "FF: Tactics" were also based on "Game of Thrones" (or at least it was similar to the point the fandom makes constant comparisons between the show and the two "FFs"). This game doesn't feel right. It feels like a reboot/copy paste of sorts of both games. Olivier for example is an inferior copy of Emperor Matheus. Because the Emperor was actually a fascinating character to study. With Olivier, we only got a puppet to look at until Ultima shows up. Where's the fun in that ? And the political conflict ? "Tactics" handled it better. Dycedarg for example was a sick strayegist. Clive and Joshua's mother is simply a Karen like most people pointed out. Nothing special that makes her a fantasy level villain. I might as well have watched some soap opera if all she was gonna be was a toxic housewife/mother figure.
You're looking for "Cloud of Darkness" (FF3), Ultimecia (FF8), Queen Brahne (FF9), Yunalesca (FF10), Ultima (FF Tactics), Jihl Nabaat (FF13), & Nael van Darnus (FF14) thus far. ^ Though technically, one of them (the Cloud of Darkness) is genderless; "they" are a primordial entity that appears as a woman.
@@whiteraven1992 while true, she took on the name of Nael in honor of him... after taking revenge for him after their father sent the original Nael to his death. Her gunhalberd Bradamante was Nael's lover, who impaled herself with it in utter despair. While Nael to the rest of Garlemald and Eorzea, she was Eula all along. Of course, the name would be in the first volume of the Encyclopedia Eorzea.
