Im looking for help with the left wrist. Motor vehicle accident. Did not heal correctly. Very deformed and painful now. It’s been ten years. Help please
Fracture my distal radius in my right wrist in a car accident....Had surgery and plate put in after a week in cast, went back for follow up 2 weeks later for xrays and get stitches out. Dr said all looked good....just annoyed my fingers are ceased up and now having to go get therapy, been going there for 3 weeks now....I can bend them but can not do a hook fist or closed fist....wish Dr told me to keep bending my fingers when they casted me when I went in after my accident......😣😣
I just got the same fracture this morning. Having surgery Monday. The doctor didn’t want to cast t he but a brace on . Said a cast will not allow the bone to heal correctly
@@juwelhossain5025 I would say 85 -90 %...still can't make a tight fist and strength in my right hand is half of what my left is. Doing physiotherapy and seeing a chiropractor, he works on my muscles, tendons and wrist. Been dealing with this since my accident in December 2021....it is rather annoying hand and wrist are still not working where I wish they were.
@@Lee-ys2ts I’m 19 and I had the ame thing done 4 weeks ago I almost got all my movements back I also broke my 2 arms and shoulder but I can do everything normal it just a little painful
I’m Mechanic and I’m wonder why from the other side don’t put another plate ! Bound together with 2 max 3 screws? This will support the under plate to not move and support the bone or not live it a chance to move in any Direction! Thx and nice job 😜
I believe it's not to be too invasive. These surgeries are big deal even if they don't look like it because nerves are in the way. They may demage a nerve and game it's over if they do.
@@adisam4116 what happens with nerve damage? we didnt go to the dr for our broke wrist for nearly 2 weeks coz we have medicaid who threatened to cut us off n the drs said why'd you come in last time we went so they seemed to not want us to go so much. dr said we might not have to have surgery. we have been so rough working for almost 2 weeks trying to wait for it to get better. fell after hitting head stumbled n turned to go backwards in the fall on purpose. so we wound up upside down in the drainage ditch broken wrist. dont know if y go in the hospital after this surgery or not. we were at the hospitals orthopedic specialist so we have to wait about a week in a splint to see the drs specialist there. but the video on here said we are knocked out for the surgery so we are glad about hat. n we hope they give pain medicine. they say now they make people get smaller pain prescriptions and less refills. so you have to keep going in to the doctors to get refills. sounds horrible.
Unlike pipes Human bones require muscle and other soft tissue to stay alive To put both side plate and screws there a lot of soft tissues stripping is required needed So doctors have to calculate risk prior to operating.
