The distance between North pole and South pole should be = 180 degrees * 60 min = 10800 Nautical Miles

Hi, yes you are correct, on the surface of the (almost) rounded earth tge distance is 10800 nm or roughly about 20,004km. But pole to pole straight distance or diameter is 12713km. But then all these calculations were done not on the actual surface of the Earth but on mathematical surface called ellipsoid. This roughly approximates the shape of the Earth.

If 1 mile is 1000 steps, you have to make some big steps, don't you think? If you compare it to km, 1km is less than a mile, which means that the steps are bigger than 1 meter.

May be earlier times people were way taller so they could take 1.6m of step. 😀

Hi, I am not sure. Never came across this file type before. Can you tell me which system you were using to log rinex data? Binner file is different than binex format. In Trimble internal logging it makes t02 file which can be converted using a free program called crx2rnx. This program is available in trimble site, free. You can try that. Or please google Binex to Rinex conversion. Hope this helps. Let me know the equipment you have used.
