[Distant View] SpaceX Falcon 9 SES-12 Launch from Kennedy Space Center 06/04/18 

The view of Falcon 9's launch as seen from Dania Beach, over 150 miles away from the launch site! SES-12 is a geostationary communications satellite operated by SES and designed and manufactured by Airbus Defence and Space (source: Wikipedia). It has a mass of 5.4 t (6.0 tons) and has a design life of at least 15 years.
This was our first time filming a rocket launch in more than a year. As with our previous launch videos, the live stream shrinks into the corner once the rocket becomes visible from South Florida. The forecast showed clear skies, but it just didn't clear up fast enough. Random disappearances of the exhaust trail indicate the presence of clouds. Apologies for this, but nothing could be done. Stage separation occurred behind a cloud. But it was surprising to see the second stage ignition near the end!
