Durante la distillazione la potenza della piastra ad induzione o del fornello a gas devono essere alte o basse? La resa cambia a seconda della potenza oppure cambia solamente il tempo dell'esecuzione?

I've tried a couple of batches and the oil/hydrosol comes out with a funny smell. It has hints of mint, but a stronger smell. Someone suggested that it may be camphor. Have any ideas? I've done oregano in the past with great results.
