We’re discussing one of our favourites on Distillery Corner this week: Ardbeg. Vic says: “A fantastic whisky. A good example of Islay, but for me it's a bit softer, because they don't go so far into the feints for taking their spirit run, so it's got slightly less harsh phenols than some of the some of the others. Plus, they have the purifier which is like a pre-condenser condenser that enhances reflux and makes for a lighter spirit.” Plus, KP Smoky Bacon crisps, anyone?
