I really appreciated your video because you showed us something no one else has shown: that you can store the pad under the ink so you can reuse it another day. All the other RU-vidrs show using a fresh pad each time which is a very expensive way to go about it. Thank you for your honesty.
THANK YOU! I’ve been having trouble getting the right look with my distress inks and water - your paper towel trick has finally given me what I was looking for. Much appreciated!
very informative. thank you. I just purchased all the packs and didn't realize how spotty they would stamp. Wasn't expecting. thsnks for the tip with the versmark.
Thank you, full of great tips there, especially that you can use distress ink instead of clear embossing ink. Very economical, saves having to keep so many ink pads going.
Hi, I'm fairly new to stamping/crafting & I just got 5 Distress ink mini kits (4 each) & 11 individual regular sized Distress Oxide colors on a mega sale plus I was able to use coupons! Now I know some neat ways to use my inks! Thanks so much for the great tips! Very helpful!!! :)
Thank you for showing these techniques I especially liked the embossing with distress ink and how to enhance a stamp by using versa ink. Hope you show some more techniques for crafting soon. ❤💚💙
Thank you so much! My church members have asked me to create something to put letters of gratitude to our pastor who has worked tirelessly to keep our congregation together through technology during this time of isolation. I have decided to make a journal that will have not only the letters but also funny FB memes, newspaper headlines and serious reflections. I have a new Dylusions journal but had struggled at what I should do for the cover and also the background color on the pages. Your ideas will work like a charm! THANK YOU SO MUCH! New subscriber
Thank you SO much for the tip of using Versamark with distress ink for stamping! I've not seen or heard that before, and I've lately been pricing dye inks for stamping, and egads it's expensive to get a decent set, yet I have quite a lot of the distress inks already. You've saved me a ton of money for the time being! :)
This is the first video I've seen on distress ink and it is so fabulous. You did a wonderful job, now I just need to run out and get started. Your instruction was great. Thanks for sharing. Love PegEgg
I have several squares of distress ink. I Just got supplies to be able to do embossing, and only got 1ink pad for it. Glad to see I can use distress inks. Now will get more use out of them. Have to try all this. Lol thanks for showing.
I really needed this video! You did a great job showing the various techniques to get the most out of the uniqueness of distress inks. I was so lost..mahalo!!!
This was so awesome. Especially the versa mark. I have a versamark ink pad and have been disappointed for a while at how the distress inks stamp blotchy. I’m going to try your method and see if it helps! Also, keeping the foams under the mini ink pads! Mind blown. 🤯
Thank you for sharing this video. I bought quite a few of these little ink pads and thought I could stamp with them but i'm getting blotchy results I will try your method of versamark ink after i finish my lunch. xxxxWendy
Great ideas thanks for the share a small tip for you I personally do not use the flat ranger tool for blending flat colours on a background I use one that is dome shaped by Nuvo but I think ranger have the domes also now so you can just purcahse some of those for your handle its much easier to not get a large blob on your background if you use that shape of tool. Also Tim Holtz says with backgrounds when using the pick up technique if you dont like it let it dry and redip it.
I love this video, as I wanted to color my work but don't have the budget to buy all kinds of stuff. Thank you for showing what can be done with a set of distress ink pads and a few basic tools. That card is so pretty. Umm, a suggestion. Could you put links to where we can purchase the tools shown in the video?. I would think mostly Amazon, which would be great if I could purchase them there.
I like your tric using versamark ink in combination with the distress ink for stamping! I was looking for more coloured inkpads, but now I saw your tric I won't have to buy more. Because I already have all the distress inks. :-D Thanks!
New to stamping. Just gifted a stamping platform which I'll use to compensate for some dexterity challenges. Any more ultra-practical tips or work-arounds? Thanks for this video
