As the shadows grow long, we race against time to find the perfect hidden campsite before night falls or the skies open up with an ominous storm. Once camp is set, the real fun begins. With an eerie calm settling over the forest, we slow-cook a delicious roast in a cast iron dutch oven over the open flames-but the quiet of the night only adds to the creeping feeling that we’re not alone out here.
As the fire crackles, we gather around it, the flickering flames casting eerie shadows, and talk about future travel plans. But there’s something unsettling in the air. I give you an exclusive peek inside the world’s smallest truck camper, a cozy but slightly claustrophobic space that feels even smaller when you're miles away from civilization.
I’m jolted awake by strange, bone-chilling howls piercing through the stillness! At first, I think it’s just coyotes... but the eerie, unnatural sound sends shivers down my spine. Is it something more terrifying? Alone in the wilderness, with only my two small dogs for company, I venture outside to investigate, but what I find might just make you think twice about camping in remote areas.
In the morning once the strange howls subside, I whip up a hearty country breakfast outside. But the real horror comes when I stumble across something that leaves me fuming-unsanitary messes left behind by careless campers. It’s a major rant moment, and one every nature lover needs to hear.

Hi Larry 👏. I camped in the same area last June, and I heard the exact howls at night, plus an angry growl next to my truck. I never heard a coyote howl that way, so I think it might have been a grey wolf. Whatever it is that thing, I see it's still there.

had a wolf above sedona. Followed the crrek 7 miles and no people so found a 7'ledge to sleep on. Felt him b4 I saw him. No aggression at all. Tossed him an apple. He ate it and went off. Really special night. Never been at Williams and would love to camp a few days there. Roast looks/sounds Great. Hate this horrible big city. Gets to where I cant afford my car, think I'll just turn in. Need nature, watching stars, good food, Living. Scared of the way our country is going. Thx 4 your sharing! A fan.😅

Just a little tip. Starbucks Viva Colombian is an instant that tastes just like fresh brewed. I get them on Amazon in quantity and take them with me as I travel, so easy, you can even use the empty tube as a spoon to stir your brew. I think youre right, thise howls didn't sound animalistic, which only leaves one thing, they are demons crying out. I'm an Aussie and I heard the EXACT same scream at about 9:30pm in April/May 2020 when i was standing on my deck. We don't have kyotes here and yes koalas will grunt in mating season and sound scary as but I know what they sound like, male kangaroo's also sound terrifying but again i am familiar with these sounds...I've checked audio videos on all the different deer, wildlife and the only things that I've heard remotely the same is this video and one other one on RU-vid from Somewhere in America. Sent chills down my spine as it was so LOUD and whatever it was did it every 3 or 4 seconds consecutively for 6 times and got further and further away with each screech by a vast distance. I didnt here sticks snapping or anything though. I literally woke my husband up and he kinda laughed at me as I described the sound like a pterodactyl or dragon!! Until he seen the terror on my face and how I could not go out on our deck for about a month after dark by myself after that experience. Still baffles me to this day what it was but it would have only been 30 metres or so away from our house in the bush block next door. We had fires about 20kms from that area about a week prior and I thought that perhaps 'something' was driven out? No idea but it torments me when I think of it. And I'm not a sissy type of chick either.

@Breeza-s5t Yes, I live around coyotes and never once heard them sound like that that was freaky as hell. At the end it did sound like coyotes a little but the beginning was something like dag I can't even describe it. Yikes 😬 😳 something scary is all I know.😬 😳

@leighsayers2628 nope, there's no way it was a fox scream. I hear foxes squabble and vixen screams which is like hearing a woman getting tortured but this was very deep and guttural that no tiny little fox can make. I wish it was a fox but I know that wasn't the case.

It’s all good with the tiny camper so don’t take it wrong but I do enjoy the big camper when you had the geo to explore. But love them all anyway! One more thing. I use the instant coffee all the time. I even use it to make ice coffee. Here is a suggestion for your tarp. Buy a PVC pipe and some PVC snap on clamps. Take your tarp and clamp it to the pvc pipe. Now you can roll it up to the length you want it. Now to hold the trap to the top of the camper is to make a some clamps to hold it in place. When you get ready to pack up everything comes apart to pack up. 😊

Larry, Larry, Larry! Packets of eggs really?! It's just as easy to buy cheap supermarket eggs and boil a few over your camp stove. Food, in general, cannot be trusted in these days and you should pray over it, after giving thanks, before eating. Hope this helps 💟💖💟

Sometimes coyotes howls are a bit freaky, I will admit that. I live out in the country . Especially around deer hunting season, calving season . They do get close . Enjoyed this video

I know recently a tourist dissapeared on hwy 64 north. Wont go into the whole report. But several travelers reported seeing a lg round siver disk around the area. Few residents also were afraid as some heard what they called skin walkers and some saw it. His RV was found pulled to the roadside and his belongings, id, money were sitting on a counter. Two residents saw him pulled over, got out to tell him ñot to walk thereas it was dangerous. Told cops he replied he had to meet someone. He walked away. They saw some man satanding in some rocks and he kept walking after him. L. E. got there, followed the path. when a big silver disk lifted and flew off very fast. The officers and 2 men cntd 2gether. And came across his clothes/shoes neatly folded on a rock. Further on they found him dead and naked sitting agnst a rock. This was up where 64 curves to the east where it boundries north rim. Source: George Nory. Coast to Coast. dont know if I believe in any of that. Hope not as I love forest and dusk mountain walks!

I live in Arizona. I always wear shorts whether it's summer or winter, fall, spring. I was at a autoshow one January wearing a long sleeve shirt and shorts. Somebody asked me "Hey are you Canadian?". I said "Are you talking to me eh?". It doesn't get that cold for me to wear trousers.

I'm with you on that, Arizona is beautiful. I love it there though. I love camping but haven't been able to do it solo yet lol. Some day😬🤭. BTW... I was wondering when I seen this video pop up what happened. So thought I would go threw and see if I had missed some lately. As I went through I noticed I wasn't subscribed. Uh I subscribed back when you first started RU-vid well about 6 months or so after. So I wonder why not just your video's but several others that I like to watch have shown not subscribed. them little heaters work good in the green leaf tents too, put a thermostat in there and have it shut off when it's 74. 😁 2. Most folks go camping once or twice a year they could care less about the poo, it's unfortunate.

Well you guys do, do your eggs a lot differently to us in England! We don't flip them, we crack em' then wait til the underneath is cooked, then you use the spatula to flick the hot oil over the yoke, cooking it to whatever your taste is, runny, or hard! ❤

if you like arizona i recommend portal and paradise on the east side near tombstone. Probably my favorite spot besides the grand canyon. Theres a really cool rattle snake and geronimo museum near portal

Love your setup. I just found your channel and subbed. Looks like it is going to finally cool off a bit here in Louisiana so it is time to start camping. I am so ready. Although I have a 24 ft. offroad trailer equipped with solar etc. I do prefer tent camping. I solved my powerstation issue by purchasing a LiTime 100 Ah LifePo4 and 1000 Watt inverter. I think all total I have about $350 in it. Like you, I also have 200 Watts of solar but the battery relieves the amp hour anxiety and is way cheaper than an add-on battery for the Ecoflow. I just recently discovered Great Value Classic Roast instant and I am blown away at just how good it is.....like $5.00 for 120 cup size. That is a great looking camping spot. Arizona is a beautiful and geographically diverse state. That fold-up aluminum table you have, the taller one, I have two of those that have to be at least 40 years old and still going strong. I love them. That roast looked quality enough to grill like a steak. I will have to binge watch some of your videos to catch up on your rigs etc. Take care.

That cup was my Step Dads cup before he passed away about 15 years ago. It was his favorite cup and he used it everyday! It’s the only thing I have from him since his passing. My Mom watches my videos and she gets excited when she sees me using the cup because she says he’s right there camping with me. 🥲🙏

I love Arizona too….I am a Cali girl and last year I traveled by myself in AZ for 6 weeks, where Prescott (as in biscuit) was a home base. A friend let me stay at her home while she was traveling. It was nice to be able to do wash and regroup. I saw many beautiful places camping in my Element BillE, and as some say I was brave. I am very intuitive about where I am at and if doesn’t feel right I don’t stay. Well I am new to your channel and will be watching your adventures.

That campsite looks so inviting. It is very relaxing to watch you enjoy it. I highly recommend finding a local farmer to buy fresh eggs. Such a better flavor than store bought. DO you ever have issues with mosquitoes? They love me.

Hey I recently got that exact Juan Valdez coffee because in the late 60's early 70's there were ton of commercials for it. All these years later I didn't know it still existed so for nostalgic reasons I bought it and it's pretty good for instant coffee. You should try Bustello cuban style coffee and it also comes in freeze dried instant too , you'll like it. Stay safe out there and best regards to your 2 dogs. Blessings

The little dog is clearly a pup still, its not safe for them to be out running off when hes filming. Its actually very responsible to have a large pen like that for them.
