Disturbing "Worm" Invasion Creeps Me Out!

This Creeped me out! While out and filming a Pennsylvania mountain forest late at night, I found lots of fascinating wildlife and flora. HOWEVER, when I got home and looked at my videos, I noticed something that disturbed me. Reviewing my videos, I noticed HUNDREDS of white worms standing upright and waving from side to side on all of the logs. Keep in mind that this is AFTER I got back from that trip. I do not get there more than two or three times a year. I have no idea what these things are. Nematodes, Worms, Parasitic worms....I hope not. I gues I need to....."be brave" lol. If you know what these are, please let me know in the comments. #what #scary #nature

nematodes for certain, and it's not that strange for there to be nematodes all over everything.

I want to thank you Chris for making me feel itchy over my entire body. My wife the naturalist, I have mentioned her before, is now looking things up. And yes parasitic worms those gross me out and gross her out badly. And I understand why people burn their houses down if they find bed bugs.

Lol, sorry Mate. The thought that it can be years before....nvmd. Parasitic worms and nematodes ARE disturbing...for sure - lol. Please tell your wife I said hello, and thanks for always commenting :) Hopefully my next video won't be so...sensory triggersome lol

Thanks. I do fear things. Things I just have to sit and see. Watching peeps in great distress but unable to help. Forever crying over losing my dog :/ And....bed bugs! and nematodes, lol. Omg, and big roller coasters!! I am working on the coasters and tend to confront what scares me. I used to be scared of wasps. Dark places. Paranormal. Mean people. And spiders. Holy cow, spiders TERRIFIED me! I turned most of my fears into things I like. Had to :)

It's hard to tell but maybe looking at them under a microscope might help identify what they are.

Interesting Chris. Not sure that they are worms though. They may represent a stage in the development of some organism. You would have to collect a bunch and look at them under a high powered microscope. Then you could compare what you find to various species in a good reference field guide. 🤔🤔👍👍

Yeah, I wish I had my scope with me then. I definately think some kind of nematode. Creepier than most things, in my book - lol.
