You don’t need a degree to have an intimate relationship and understanding of the natural world. If nature and wildlife raw and uncut is what you are looking for, then this channel is for you. I will show you where and how to unlock the wonderful secrets nature has hidden in her pocket. Salamanders, snakes, insects, bushcraft, survival, foraging, weather, it’s all here and in field guide form. Lets get started on your path to becoming a better naturalist. When my wife passed away in 2010 and things and health were difficult in many aspects of my life, I felt I could do with the type of distraction this channel would give me, and that it would drive me to go out and film even on days where I might not want to. I got a cam and I set out. Well it helped. I LOVE connecting with people and I love to share my excitement. I decided to focus my channel on mostly nature. Looks just like my property 😮 I have Sandhill cranes and this year they started trilling at night 😳lol. The first time I heard that, it was very freaky. You don’t think it’s a bird at 2:00 am . I thought only owls made noise at night. I actually had to look it up, it was such a strange noise. They don’t sound like that during the daytime. Anyway, I hear some very strange things out here in this old woods.
MOTH: “At last! After a life of obscurity and rejection, there’s a spotlight waiting just for ME! THIS is my moment, the culmination of all my dreams. I will fly into this destiny of stardom and revel in the future glory of my- 💀”

Killer vid. Fck that spider. I Haye them so much yet I catch everyone of them I find lmfao. Maybe don't Hate em but deff won't let them crawl on me like this lmfao
These videos are so neat, Chris! I love the sneak peek into the tiny lives of insects :) My favorite insect is the ladybug, and I usually see multitudes of them down here in Alabama. For some reason I’ve seen only a handful of them during the spring and summer: any idea what could cause that?
FORBIDDEN ANCIENT MEDICINE. My best friend's dad was at Sloan Kettering in New York City he was bleeding internally from a mistake a doctor had made they gave this to him and saved his life they gave it to him intravenously and that's a fact they don't want you to know about this
I have one I got her at a show she's really interesting has no interests in me . But no I do not handle her as I do not want to stress her out & chance her bitting me out of fear
The jumper at about 25:25 was very pretty. Trying to figure out the species, looking at my spider book. Could it be a very light yellowish female Phidippus whitmani? The abdomen markings look like it. Spiders are so darn variable. It was fun going on this adventure. Really liked those storm clouds too...loved seeing & hearing the rain. We're in the worst drought ever in WV.
Yeah these guys showed up about 4 or 5 years ago, I live in an old house In Putnam valley New York And I usually don't spray for pests. But this year I'm trying Pimetherin.... I hope it helps It's not supposed to be Dangerous If used correctly but I hate spraying anything.. They're nasty but only because they show up in your house when it starts getting cold.. They poop on everything And could stink if you don't clean up after them .They also bring other bugs and mice ..The lantern fly hasn't showed up yet but it's on its way. Both these bugs are from China, Really makes you think. I grow a necessary garden every year And I'm wondering what's coming with these Somehow just Shown up by Accidentally from China Pests that do a lot of damage..
2 days ago I had found 3 Blue Spotted salamanders. Lots of trees are starting to die and fall apart. They're taking advantage of the wood collapsing it seems.
I had the privilege of growing up close to a nature center in my youth and where I live now there's nothing like that out here. Every time I watch one of your videos it brings back so many wonderful memories from that time in my life! Thank you, Chris, for inspiring that in me! 🫶
Nice follow up video to part 1 Chris. It always amazes me how you find all of those interesting critters. Keep doing what you're good at and stay safe out there! 👍👍
