Hey wondering what you have thought of the receiver? Thinking of getting one looks really good! I just switched to brushless on my traxxas slash 2wd and my 2.4ghz just ain’t cutting it
I like the display a lot. I have the futaba 3pv that is around 100 bucks, this flysky looks like it beats the futaba hands down. That molded grip seems miles better then hard plastic!
mat arif leen Its up to you my 3pv is great it has all the adjustments I need this controller seems to have more features is all I was saying. Futaba receivers are expensive as well, FS might be cheaper for a replacement or second what have you.
mat arif leen it sounds like you want the futaba, I like there's no bind plug with futaba and once you get used to scrolling back and forth adjusting endpoints ect it's a great radio. I have no complaints.
I do want the futaba... But if the fs-gt5 does not have all the said sloppiness, i will go for it bcause currently i'm using fs-gt2e and it does have some delay and not very linear steering... Feels like it got some expo on it
I bought a FS GT3C the Steering is to far from the actual body for me. this looks a lot closer. so this will be on my list I like the Larger display of the GT3C not sure if the GT5 is nay larger. GOing to have to check it out and that is all. thank you for the review.
Anyone else wonder why people always say the holes in the handle make it lighter? If anything you'd think it would make it heavier. It's not like the handle is solid plastic... I think it's done more for looks or keeping hands less sweaty at the most.
Picked up a dumborc x6 and was super super excited for the range of it and everything but I binded it to the traxxas 4 pole 3s vxl system and reverse and brakes don't work. Looks like I need to find another cheap controller with long range again
I’m still very wary of anything flysky - I bought two a few years ago and had nothing but trouble and had to mod them to keep the power from cutting off when turning the wheel!
Hi the I purchased this Gt5 , I am new to the hobby, the thing is I have no idea to calibrate this GT5 to my rc crawler, it would be great I you had a video to show a basic calibration for a crowler, thanks
I have a question about the gt5. Is the Redcat, tringy and flysky receiver compatible.. if I got a flysky can I use the tringy or redcat gyro receiver.
I have an Fs-gt3c and it's good enough for my uses, but as a good enthusiast I am always looking to upgrade, but the FS receivers seem to be a nightmare, of 3, I only had one that worked properly.... Can you plz recommend some decent receivers, preferably 4ch+
the xmaxx system is good.. unless you need the extra 3 channels then don't bother. You get auto roll over and all that on yours which you wont have on this one.
Hi there, quick question for you. What can you use channel 5 & 6 for? Can the be used to power bumper lights or/and light bar? That is what is stopping to buy this radio. Thank You
I Know it has been several months but the channel 5 and 6 are potentiometers no different than the steering or throttle. They can be used to move extra servos for spotlights, winches, rear steering, or anything else with a built in potentiometer. Any channel can power lights. A simple way is to use a servo splitter and plug steering/throttle into one side of the splitter and lights into the other and the channel will power both items.
But can you adjust steering to a lefty grip instead of right. Seems to abit like I'm searching a void trying to find one for a good price.. or at all! I'm new to rc and feel I need to steer with my left and accelerate with my right.
How does one improve on throttle response what do i switch out i have a short course truck and when im hauling i mean moving fast i turn really hard to face the oppisite way and whenits facing the way i want i punch it and for like a second or less its non responsive. I need the thing to move everytime i squeeze the trigger even if its just a hair. What can i do let me know. Cause seriously it can mean the difference of me winning or lossing against the little kids that come over and race me even thoe we dont call them races in the back of my mind i know thats what im doing and im pretty sure they do the same thing
I purchased this radio thru redcat with 2 BS6 receivers. I installed one in my Crawler, one in my Sakura Drift car, and one in my Tamiya M-06... I drove the M-06 and went to drive the Sakura and I needed to bind the BS6 to it, so I did. Went back to the M-06 and had to Rebind the Rx. Is this going to be like the early IT4's where you can use the 20 model memory but have to rebind the Rx every time? I havent tried my crawler because the Receiver is burried in the radio box under a rats nest of wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know the IT4's eventually got a firmware upgrade that fixed the issue, but youd think this new product wouldnt have an old problem like this. I really like the versatility this radio gives, so Id like to be able to recommend it to people.
Click model and choose #1. Bind to a receiver and you are done. Click model choose #2. Bind to a second receiver and you are done. Click model and choose which you want to run and hit enter and you are ready to go
no...every radio needs an rx meant for it... there may be some that will work with other brands and models though, but you would have to search that info...
With the right winch controller yes is can. I have been using a tiny red 30amp esc pulling off a jst plug on the battery connection to control one winch and a yeah racing winch controller set up for the clicky 3rd channel also
I have no idea about to calibrate anything reverse left right up down I have no idea would you be able to run a Full speck on this transmitter for a Crawler. Basically a full set up. I’m sure there’s more than one like me would like to hear that because not everyone knows how to use a translator a gnu to the Hobby so please can you do that so you may get more subscriber to and perhaps me
@@Randy1124pr could you please confirm you've had no issues to bind your gt5 with FS-A3 and how did you do that? Loads of people saying that this is not possible.
audioborsuk I currently have 11 rc’s bind to my GT5, 10 of them with FSA3 receivers. You just need to put the bind plug in the receiver and press the bind button on the transmitter. Then turn of the radio and unplug the bind plug, turn everything back on and you are good to go.
I was looking to get a 4-6 channel transmitter and came across this. Are these made by redcat? I ask because the one that came with the Gen8 is a piece a junk. And if they are the same company, ill pass.
Redcat doesn't make it, they're just selling it. Think of it like Redcat being a Ford Dealership. They're selling the cars, but they're not making them..
@@Jarhead1313 gotcha.. anyways I bought I have it I like it.. I have 3 cars already implemented in this radio so it’s radios I take wit me wen I go bashing
ehh not that impressive. i like my tqi radios with bluetooth and dash cluster gauges when connected to my phone. i use telemetry a lot and so far no controller has been able to do what my tqi controllers can do
