I am from Thailand and now living in the UK. I cannot wait to go back to live in Thailand, not so much about money but full of happiness there. Good luck to you, all the best /|\
I hear you I am thinking of heading out in January. But i am not wanting to be in the city's etc. As its not my idea of Thailand. Some where remote with friendly people. So I can imbrace the culture etc. (I have never been). Would u suggest any where in particular? Kind regards
This video literally brought me back to my childhood life 😍. I remembered planting rices and ran through the windy field. I truly appeciate your hardwork and your representation of Thailand in another aspect🙏🙏
Wonderful. I'm retiring with my Thai wife to our village farm near Pi Mai, Nakornratchasima Province in 18 months. Watching your blog is like watching our dream. After twenty years together in the UK, with all the huddle, bustle and stress, we'll be going home at last. Can't wait.
Cool stuff, I lived in Thailand for nearly 5 years. I am a Stunami survivor. My daughter was born in Bangkok and is now 14 years old. Hoping to get back one day, visit and even film for my show. All the best from Australia Marty
Left UK for Thailand in 98, 2015 left Thailand because of a government malfunction that eventually let the Thai baht equal the British pound, living the dream in Philippines, take it easy brother, best of luck 2021 🙏🏽
We have a small village house in Khon Kaen provence; unfortunately we are stuck in cold England under covid lockdowns so would love to be at our village house in KK at the moment! You should get some batam hens; we had 20 of them and it was great to collect the eggs every day and have a regular supply of eggs.
Another great video Ryan. The intro was spot on ! Simple life = Happy life. Congratulations on the garden , all your hard work will be paying off soon! ❤️🇹🇭
Well done! I have been to Thailand once and I felt like home because of the local people. I only thought about going back there once this lockdown is finished and here I am watching your video. You have a nice family and house mate. Great life!
It's a wonderful life when your hard work pays off in the fresh food at your feet . Your wonderful family is living my dream, All my blessings to you all.
What’s awesome. I proud of you who have been leaving everything in UK to spend your life in rural Thailand. I appreciate. All the best. God blesses you
Loved it mate 🙏 the gravel makes the garden look a lot bigger, good weed barrier to Well done for the vlog your nailing it now Your wife’s coming out of her shell a bit now keep it up 👍
Brilliant vlog I like your positivity and you know what you want there are so many people complaining about their lives but don’t do anything to change it I retired early in the Philippine’s and life is good even though I’m in the country with the longest lockdown in the world
have done the same ! Left evrything just came with holdall bag 10 years ago & before that several months each year. Now away from it all in Chaiyaphum province in a beautiful oasis with views to hills & fields all around! No moneyin bank UK pension 15000 baht / month. Built house with last money as i knew i would not be able to rent by now!
I just recently found your channel, which is very enjoyable. My wife and I live in Chaiyaphum City, so seeing such a wonderful family enjoying the rural of Thailand is quite fun. *Thank you very much!*
wonderful prelude! glad i went back to catch this one..... favorite so far! wealth... "a plentiful supply of a particular desirable thing". such a matter of perspective isn't it?! looking forward to my escape back to the kingdom!
Neglected: Our children grow & play in the soil. And us adults grow old and work in the soil. Wealth is with the soil. I had some creature like that crawl down my shirt taking down a tee-pee here in UK. Made sure I saw it leave my pants leg, as I was on top of a ladder. Scared me silly.
The concrete rings are used for septic tanks. But now they used plastic tanks which are better has they don't leak into the water table and that helps where they have wells for water.
You must be really please now the garden is coming together, looks great lots of hard work, great watching these vlogs of the day to day life in Thailand keep them coming . Love and Light
Great video thanks mate! Lovely intro, I have stumbled my way into a similar situation in the wonderful Thai countryside, and couldn't agree more! The concrete rings are used to form cesspits btw. Where there's no communal sewer system in the villages, each house will have these rings underground. They're stacked vertically on top of each other, to form an underground chamber, and then all the waste is piped into them underground from the house, washing area, etc. You'll have seen the circular concrete covers to them, set at ground level, round the backs of houses. Worth saying too, be warned never to stand on these concrete covers! I've had one fail under my feet (it will have been an inferior example, as I'm sure some must be made suitably strong enough!) and it ended extremely painfully in the local hospital!😁 Thankfully it was at the construction stage before we'd even got on to plumbing it up to the house, doesn't bear thinking about the same thing happening if it were all full of ****, ....particularly as ours are around six feet deepl!🙈 You do see them everywhere used as planters though!
Garden is looking great, You have motivated me to sort out my garden here in Songkhla as It is an overgrown mess lol, I may message you for some advice. putting the gravel down is a good idea. Why did you decide on the PVC beds instead of using those concrete rings. They sell those rings for around 100THB each here in songhkhla too. I was thinking of clearing out the area and then putting down gravel and some of those concrete rings, then planting different stuff in each
Come to see my garden in Sathingpra. We got a 4,5 rai fruitgarden with bananas ,lime, papaya,s,coconuts, sugarcanes, and other kind of fruits.Next month i plan to grow another 3,5 rai full with coconuttrees and a sprinklersystem.I,m from the netherlands but live since 2000 in thailand
You would reach 99% of your food supply if you dig the ground and have a pond to raise fish and grow some vegetables in the water. The other 1% would be the seasoning ingredients 😄. Just the thought. I envy your lifestyle and love Otis and Damo.
Great work Ryan. I'm not so much a fan of the PVC tubing for your beds, as the sunlight makes it brittle. You will have to seed only small portions of the seed bags at a time and seed in 1 to 2 months intervalls, otherwise you will have too much of one type at a time, except you intend to sell the surplus on the market yourself.
Ryan, 1 x 550 or 2 for 1100 same same no deal! The garden is progressing nicely, it will be a joy to work in or just relax in for the future. Thanks for sharing, I loved it!
@@lifeinruralthailand sorry I thought you said 550, I'm a Scottish person and sometimes we struggle with certain words or phrases in the the colloquial English language. 555 😉
@@thethailandcelt8394 I did say 550 because I said each one was 55o because we got a deal, buy two for 1100. However, the usual price for not buying two is 650. :)
@@thai3169 Yaowapa Pibulpol, chief of the Phuket Provincial Employment Office, the government office established to specifically regulate and administer employment law, maintained that the wording does not allow officers to apply the law beyond its intended scope.
@@lifeinruralthailand hey 👋 i found my love of my life 2 years of friendship and now planning a wedding there’s only one problem her father wants 1 million bath sinsod is this something I should pay
@@gabrielsweden3365 in the end its up to you and the family and it depends on what kind of family they are, you can say you don't have this and offer 500k which I have heard of other friends doing, I also know that sometimes someone will offer a little more and say the wedding also needs to be paid out of this. We do not follow this tradition as her family would prefer us spend the money on a house, but good luck to you
I can't believe I have only just found your channel. I am living the Thai dream also here in Maha Sarakham. I am not sure where you are but I assume Isaan somewhere. Look forward to catching up on some of your videos and following you on YT and FB going forward.
You know i experienced also to live in the farm with my partner who is a mechanical engineer while he is the office I'm the one who managed the farm,I really enjoyed especially the fruit bearing trees,I'm happy watching your blog I saw myself in you sad thing my partner past away,so I got back on my hometown tagaytay city philippines
I ran into one of those centipedes while motorcycling between Fang and Doi Ang Khang. It was surprisingly aggressive and came straight toward me. Fortunately, they are not especially quick and my aged body escaped. I miss gardening, been trying to talk my building manager to let me garden on the roof like they do up in China. Jai yen yen.
The only thing I really suffer in Thailand is the air pollution during dry season. No ,I do not live in the city, but in a rural area between agricultural fires. Hurray!
Ryan, watching from Chicago USA. Love the videos, my wife and I will be moving to Issan in a couple years (have to retire first) we have land and a farm already and can’t wait to live the life you are so lucky to enjoy. My wife is a huge fan also as she can watch real Thailand. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Dear Michael, it’s great to hear that you and your wife enjoy the channel, thanks for supporting us. Good luck with your move and wishing you both the best. Ryan, Damo & Tis
Wow! I have been on a spiritual journey learning how to live a proper life and it is a difficult proposition living in a big city. I recently moved about an hour into the country and it's nice, but I'm still surrounded by people with a sense of entitlement. They say to change your people, places and things. I have 2 of them checked off the list so far. 😉 I really enjoy watching people who are making their happiness, peace and spirituality a reality. In the west we put so much value on material things that aren't needed at all in order to feel good. Less is truly more! Peace and hang loose. 🤙
I just came across your channel today. Great content. I am someone who used to do my own gardening at home. I am actually staying in Bangkok and working as a teacher. Hoping to grow a few things in Condo veranda🤣 Keep up the great work.
