Yesterday afternoon, Air Serbia A319 has departed Nis for a scheduled flight to Frankfurt. Shortly after departure crew has requested to detour in Belgrade because an aircraft's ram air turbine (RAT) has been deployed. Captain told the controller that they aren't in an emergency so it is a possibility that the RAT got deployed for no real reason. RAT is a small turbine that is placed inside the left side of the fuselage and it's purpose is supplying the aircraft with electrical and hydraulic power in case of an emergency. Aircraft landed safely and continued it's journey 35 minutes later.
