Really useful information, thank you. l have had uncomplicated diverticulosis for two years. No symtoms at all except fo a large ammount of blood loss only once. Hence a colonascopia, uncomplicated diverticulosis. The Specialist put me on antibiotics for life! After two years l have taken myself off the antibiotics against my doctors advise! l am still keeping very well. Never have had any discomfort at all.Keep to a good diet. Was l right to do this?l live in Spain by the way, maybe they think differently here.Oh and l am a young 80yr. old lady.

Fantastic seminar and has put my mind at rest when being told by your GP that you have a disease. Could a link to this seminar be put on the NHS Diverticular disease and diverticulitis A -Z page. I had to search NHS DD on google to find this advice. Would advise that patients (me) should watch this video twice and take notes. Most of the comments below are answered in the seminar. Thank you again.

Pain was always on my left side so when I had pain on the right side I didn't think it was diverticulitis. Result of 3 days of hospitalization. Perhaps mentioning it can be on the right side with pain might help others.

Many of the foods recommended are high carb = high glycemic = high blood sugars = diabetes / heart dz / insulin insensitivity = chronic dz…cant believe we’re still recommending 5 meals a day!

Its bananas isn't it what they recommend. Doctors are totally crap when it comes to proper nutrition. There totally wrong and unless doctors study after to properly understand then all most of this diet will do is send you to doctors which is (big farmer) I mean they promote you eating lectins which are awful for you. One thing to think about 100 years ago 90% of all products in our grocery store didn't exist and neither did 90% of deceases. Its one big wheel from corporations selling the shit we eat ( often labeled healthy) when there not, to then you needing doctors that arnt educated properly in the first place. Its nuts but a genius money wheel isnt it as all health related issues come from the gut. And so much we consume screws the gut and can flood our bodies with inflammation. Just because there doctors doesn't make them right.
