Divi is not any closer to Elementor Pro but you totally win my subscribe man 😁💪🏻 I have buy divi lifetime before i know about Elementor and now i use Elementor Pro nulled 😜🤷🏻♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really entertaining and good video comparing the two, it looks like they both have plus points but I especially like the way Divi handles different content on device sizes that is far better than elementors way of hiding sections... hopefully elementor will adopt that way soon..
Hi Roxana Castaneda 👋! I couldn't agree more with you! You are so right! It seems like this is missing a lot lately. Just 2 guys having fun and meanwhile teaching something that is interesting 😀
Kudos to you guys, great video. I missed the comparison of dynamic elements. Ferdy showed how to get the featured image, but a deeper comparison of both regarding dynamic elements and accessing fields or posts would be great.
Hi David, yeah that is true! We had not done that in the video because its a big subject not be covered in a few minutes. However, Divi can get a lot of dynamic content from the database out of the box like titles, dates etc. Its great 😀 What do you have in mind to create?
Great Video guys congrats! One thing I noticed is that elementor has a library of blocks that Divi only has it for layouts not blocks in some cases is faster to choose a block for a header or a footer
Hi Hernan 👋! You can actually save all your created modules / rows / sections / pages inside of the 'Divi Library' this way you can quickly load in the entire thing inside of your pages. Really works like a charm 😁
The right way to do a vs comparison! However, I think the pricing is somewhat of a draw, do to Elementor basically being free. The features you get in the pro, are just nice to haves, and not essential.
Hi Martin Panda 👋! Thank you very much! That is a interesting way to look at Elementor Pro 😀 However, once you have build your own website with the free version, there almost always comes a time you need some pro elements. Well at least that is my experience 😃
I use Divi and even in bloom we can add 1)first name 2) last name 3) email but we cannot add mobile number even after we go to bloom or Aweber and modify field to add "phone". Sir bloom does not allow phone even after divi license.we have to pay to aweber to add phone in divi. So not free.
Thank you very much for this video. This video broke down important features I was looking for and it was fun watching both of you. The breakdown (and code) really helped me and saved me a weeks worth of trial & error and research on both products. =)
omg I remember Joomla! ROFL at "Elementor Support" ... it just doesn't exist, even for paying customers, they don't reply to tickets your best bet is to ask on the community forum.
One of the best comparison video about divi and elementor... Very nice video though I would love to watch a more detailed video tuts on how to make a website which is responsive in 3 platforms(mobile, desktop, tablet).. I'm still new to divi and elementor..😆 anyways.. Thanks!
Hi Armbel Bernal, thank you for your comment! I'm glad you liked the video. I have made such a video on my channel, so go watch it if you want to learn this about Divi.
I liked the video very much, thanks to you both for your time and producing it... It was very informative and good to have two experts in their respective builder themes have a build off :) ... Now here's the thing.. I started not long ago using the Elementor Free and then purchased the Pro version. That said I have a very open mind about anything I buy from cars to cameras to website builders, and... I am not a brand worshiper or follower. The reason I buy is because whatever it is that I buy will do what I need it to do for the quality, ease of use, price and looks. Now.. This video for me has got me thinking. Ok, 1. Divi may not have everything that Elementor has, yet (I'm sure they will eventually equal Elementor or surpass it, it's a business and they need sales) I may need to wait a bit longer for some extra functionality to arrive with Divi but for a vast majority of things it seems to be a very capable tool. 2. It may mean that I need to re-learn the way to do things (not so much of a problem, shouldn't take that long) 3. one of the biggest things I'm thinking is the fact that it is for lifetime, unlimited sites and a very attractive price. As a bonus for me it works with Piotnet forms that I have just purchased. I'm now thinking for me, this may be a no brainer in getting Divi. I am not associated with Divi or have any connections to anyone in Divi. But this video has certainly got me thinking
Hi Tony B 👋! Thank you for your extended comment! Glad that you liked the video and it got you thinking! Yeah the price is in my opinion the biggest difference between the 2 😀. Actually you can't go wrong with one of them, but the Piotnet forms is indeed a good reason. Whatever you go for, keep it up Tony! 😃
from my experiences, and watching these videos, to summarize Divi is cool Elemontor is great. Divi is more good looking easier to use, but more slow and fewer features than elementor, Good price and they have lifetime price Elementary doesn't that good UI as a trade-of for lots of options, in fact, too many options that could be overwhelming, Faster responses, and more features than Divi, Elementor good price but in the end, you'll have to pay annually. So, Divi is good for starter, but to get most out of Divi, you'll need more plugins. But for Elementor it has more features needed for a website to be created but as a trade-of, it feel overwhelming. I hope can get the best of both world, DIVI has more features, or Elementore more user friendly and give a lifetime price. (But I know it would not be fair for those who already paid.) let's not talking cSS since we are aiming for codeless with these 2 "Things"
Hi Atipat Lorwongam 👋! Thank you for your thoughts! Divi just released a new update last week which GREATLY increases the speed of the backend builder 😍. Also, keep in mind that in this video I used my old laptop which doesn't like recording its screen while editing a Divi website... 😛. Best of both worlds would be awesome and actually that is just a matter of time 😄
Love your tutorials, big shout out from South Africa! I have just supported your channel by purchasing Elementor! :) Keep up the great work! BTW, with regards to the mobile optimization, I looked at another tutorial elsewhere and it is VERY possible to customize each device to the point of altering text , text size and images shown...so one page can look very different on each device.
I hope there was a part where Divi can easily customize the column width depending on my desired width because Elementor can do it easily by click and drag of column.
Hi Glenn Rabby Paulin 👋! You can actually do this also by dragging the width of your column or just changing the width in the 'design' tab. 😊 I have demonstrated it in my latest video "22 Things you're doing wrong with Divi!" 😎😃
@@WPressDoctor I just watched that video to see what am i missed, but in that video You just change the width of a row, not a column within a row. So how can we change the width of a column without coding? Thanks!
When Elementor changes the Pricing soon, more people will go to divi. That's why i am watching this. If you are not selling websites every month and you don't want to explain why your clients should pay for your elementor license then divi is perfect.
Hi Zero 👋! Yes I have to agree with you, I have never had one argument with clients in all my years building sites about a license with Divi. 😀 Simply because to costs are already paid. It is that easy and working with API's makes it really usefull for small and big agency's!
Hi Juxhin 👋! The creator is always the winner in the end when he finishes his project and looks back and says "this was awesome, I learned a lot and the product is great 😎"
@@WPressDoctor i make a comment at your comment 😜😁 you totally win my subscribe and the first i kearn about wordpress i buy divi 🤷🏻♂️🤣 but used it only one time. Now stuck with Elementor Pro Nulled 🤷🏻♂️🤣. I am going to fix my comment because both of you guys was winners about this good video. Is just me i am an Elementor fan 🤷🏻♂️😁🤣
Hi Space Cheese 👋! Lol you noticed 😎 To answer your question: that's just a habit I do with all my video's 😂 I love hanging out with the community and answer any questions as good as i can. It's what I do for a living for all my clients and I just like to help people 😍
I want to make a answers questions website like quora, stack overflow, For this website please suggest me a wordpress theme. Love you ferdy, form bangladesh
@@WPressDoctor hi, but you should be able to have just more that 3 that are given. How do you easily add another or adjust them? There are lots of different mobile sizes
Ferdy, I am a big fan of yours and have learned so much from your video. I can't Thank You enough. I have to say I enjoyed this video a lot. It was funny and very useful info. You 2 should do more video together. why this video don't have a million views is beyond me. Its an amazing video. I will take the plunge soon on Elementor Pro though your site Ferdy but I want to watch a few more of your video. I also just subscribed to WPress Doctor.
Hi Lelesdesigns 👋! Thank you very much for your kind words! 😊 You really make my day and thanks for the Sub on my channel 😁 Stay safe and keep up building those awesome websites 😎
Long Video - Positive Vibes made me keep watching it. Great Content, I think I learnt Divi just watching this video :P I had 1 query - how do we ensure that when we give the client the website, he doesnt use the same licence code and sell further? I understood that you had keys listed on your dashboard somewhere but how do we know that that licence key is being used more than once?
Hi Anchit 😀, the client never can copy the API key from the Divi Theme Options. It has been blocked (like a password) so no one can re-use your API key. Works like a charm 😀
Just found you guys today, but I gotta say I am a fan now! I subscribed to both channels and I look forward to more great content like this. Keep it up ;-)
Thank you for this wonderful comparison, done a great job Ferdy Korpershoek & Wpress Doctor! How about the loading speed of Divi vs Elementor? Possible to compare in your next video. Great work, Cheers!
Hi Flyzal 👋! Thank you very much! you are welcome 😁👍 I actually made 2 video's about how to speed up Elementor and how to speed up Divi. Comparison is difficult because of the different hosting and different content on each builder. But definitely a good idea!
Love the video guys. Rarely comment or subscribe, but you both deserve it. Stay safe & keep on creating great videos. P.S. Love the Netherlands & the accents, don't hear it enough here in Scotland.
Hi Connor Gordon 👋! Thank you very much that you took your time to comment 😀 Really means a lot 😊 I'm glad you liekd the video and our accents haha. Have a awesome day! 😎
Ferdy, I've used elementor free and liked it too. Only the price module put me off as a small business wanting to spend minimal. I invested in divi lifetime but there is so much things and is overwhelming. I won't say it's bad, though. I'm halfway in and seeing this video of 2yrs ago means I'm still interested in making a change. It seems like page builders are changing often and it's quite hard to make a choice. A remake of this video would be great! Wpdoctor is a great youtuber and has helped me, if you see this comment, please remake!
Whew quite a video guys ... When you talked about plugins that you thought were the most useful I have TWO for Elementor that should definitely be considered. The first is Unlimited Ekements for Elementor and the second is Elements Kit. Both provide extensive lists of elements to add to Elementor ...but Unlimited Elements for Elementor out dies every other plugin I have seen with over 800 ekements that you can choose among to add to your Elementor elements tray. But the BEST feature of both these plugins it their option that allows you to create NEW elements that you can then load into Elementor. The Unlimiter Ekements plugin also allows you to edit any of the 800 pre-designed elements that come with it so I will give the edge to it but both plugins appear to be very powerful options to truly give you the ability to create custom elements for you client's unique requirements.
This is a real comparison video with tutorials. It takes much time to become a pro on anything, but this kind of video helps a lot. But only one thing to mention Divi is fighting against Wix or Squarespace, not with Gutenberg. Gutenberg development is a lot easier and bloat-free than anything, but out of the box, it doesn't have a lot more functionality like others (need coding knowledge).
@@WPressDoctor yes sir, but somewhere down the line I feel that we only try things shown in the video, but I wanted to ask is how we can explore the theme to its fullest? . I am a Digital Marketer and I am going to start building my Wordpress website ( offering my services + blogs to educate people ). Thats why I was a bit sceptical and a bit confused where to start, since there is a lot of information available. Sir, do you want to give any advice? Thanks😊 in advance Kshitij
@@kshitijseth7119 I understand! Well you could challenge yourself. Pick a website you like and try to make a exact copy of it. This way you will learn new things and you are forced to think in solutions 😀
@@WPressDoctor Hallo Doctor. I noticed wp agencies they used a page builder and on mobil they were almost at 0. And comparing Astra theme pro including Elementor pro with divi almost the same speed I guess. But a grid layout with many pictures and videos is the death of every page builder.
Great video, one thing I would like to see a video on is what to consider when planning a website. There are a lot of ugly or bounced sited where individuals used a website builder to make a site but the text, images and layout is either horrible or "just like everyone else "
Awesome 👍 can you please make a video making woocomerce website using free kadence theme using kadence gutenberg blocks, unable to find it on youtube and the theme is excellent I heard.
Hi Michael Lasambouw 👋! What should be the thing you are searching for? Posts with special fields? Members data, products? If you can be specific, maybe I can help you 😉
@@WPressDoctor it is a search tools inside the divi/elemtor for searching data inside the database. did you guys know which builder have that kind of search tools?
Hi Samir Poladov 👋! You are absolutely right. However, to compare the 2 packs we had to make rules - one of them is NO usage of plugins. 😉 If we would allow that, we could easily make everything in both builders.
Pop up word is pronounced in India in 40 different ways because we have 30 states and 3 ways to speak same word. We are proud of it and don't look for google to find pronunciation.
@@WPressDoctor Sir we have population of 1.3 billion. We have 22 registered languages in our constitution. Each language has around 3 dialects. Please google and check number of languages spoken in India...Google will show more than 100 languages in India...around 121 languages...
Hey Ferdy & Doc , I have 1 question, a couple of months ago I started my business ( nothing to do with web design or such ) I started building my website with WordPress and after searching for good tutorials and stuff I stumbled across both of you. My question would be should I buy Divi Lifetime if I’m not a web designer ? And I just want to have the „premium“ features and stuff to make my website for my company better looking ? Or should I stay with free elementor and OceanWP ?
Hi Pal Szabolcs 👋! Thank you very much for your question. That totally depends on your personal preference. They are both good, the pricing is the biggest difference. 😉 Ofcourse my preference is Divi by far. Its just so complete 😍
If making website is just a hobby for you and not an income generating job.. Elementor free is ur best option..but,.. It is limited unlike divi with lifetime, though it's a bit pricy.. You can get the most value of it in longer time..plus, if u ever change ur mind to make a profit out of ur skill you can use ur divi anytime.
@@ferdycom Because for the contact form there is a limitation in Divi we have to use gravity form which adds an extra plugin to my website. With the help of Elementor Pro, I can overcome the Divi drawbacks. I can use better animation effects with the help of Elementor Pro.
@@WPressDoctor Thanks, my final decision ( I think ) will be elementor basic + all inclusive crocoblocks, I am surprised at what crocoblocks offers for the price really.
@@WPressDoctor you are really friendly :D also I am dumb, I need elementor pro xD I just thought yeah I don't need elementor pro modules, but I net all pro features, like custom css and dynamic content :D sooooo, kinda dumb :D I also wanted to go with Divi and Divi Engine, definitely cheaper because of the Divi lifetime ( what I always wanted, pay once, enjoy for life ) but crocoblocks seems to be much more versatile than Divi Engine. Thanks again :D Please do more content together :D I would also love to know more about how to fiddle in myself with everything like you said you do other stuff yourself so you are not limited by divi, would be really helpful to see some of your videos to do that :D
@@coldfever94 Awesome! No you are not dumb, life teaches us a lot of lessons, just embrace the training 😀. If you don't learn the lesson, life has its way of briging the lesson back untill we have learned it 😆. I will be making video's about creating awesome Divi websites and yes, I will use some CSS during those video's 😀
Hi Ferdy, thanks for the informative video like this, it's awesome as always, I am using Elementor free for a little while and was thinking purchase the pro but now divi's unlimited website usage and site packs could be good choice for me and may be I have to change my habits with elementor to Divi, can't decide which one? confused :)
Hi Levent 👋! You are very welcome, glad you liked the video! The pricing of the lifetime pack for Divi is indeed a really big plus point. I can't decide for you as both builders are really great, but if money is a priority and you are going to create more than 3 websites in your entire life... the money choice would be Divi 😎
@@muhammadahmed9492 I have put it on my todo list and let you know when its finished!😁 Somewhere in 2021 I think - I have a lot of projects to do first 🤣
Hi Roxana Castaneda 👋! From a Divi point of vieww: If you're Divi website is entirely in Spanish, you definitely could create Spanish forms. Just change the Titles 😀 If your website is in another language and you translate it with a plugin, it is also possible to translate the module... Where did it didnt work for you?
@@roxcastaneda Add a contact form, click on the field you want to change (gear icon) go to the 'Content' tab -> Text -> Title-> change it to Spanish 😁 All set!
Comparing Divi to Elementor is like choosing between eating cat shit and dog shit - They are both shit, but one might taste slightly better than the other.
@@WPressDoctor Yeah, me too , back in the good old days before WordPress took off. I get the point with page builders, but in truth, the time spent learning them, is better spent learning to code. *that's just my opinion*
@@lotusalstom5746 I totally understand your point of view 😀 However, for simple bloggers or enterperneurs who just start out and only have a small budget to start there adventure, I think a pagebuilder is a great solution. These guys will never learn code as it is just not their cup of tea. They can simple drag and drop but they don't want to learn code. I can't blame them, everytime I pick up tools to do something in my house... well... I can better hire someone then to learn it because I still can't get that piece of wood the perfect way against that wall...no matter what I do .... you get the picture 😂😂😂
Hi Trevor Prince 👋! You are very welcome, we also had a lot of fun creating it. Elementor Pro is nice, it has some really awesome features! However, I still prefer Divi 😂😛
