Why do you cancel out the numbers and variables?

@Katy Perry because the variables are common between the terms, he crosses out the variables, because for example, x divided by x is 1. It helps reduce the fraction faster. Also, numbers are crossed out because they can both be simplified or reduces by the same factor

One questions we calculated to the point of 3/5.15/4 x has been taminated can't 15 divide 5 and we have=3/1.3/4 =9/4 because 3.3 =9 1.4=4
