I too would really like to have standardized VLAN switching/bridge configuration over CRS 100/200 and 300 series devices, hopefully even any RouterOS device with switch chip with VLAN support. Having to remember or lookup how to configure each product series individually is just not intuitive and there was more than a time or two, that I had to redo the config to get switch chip performance instead of unnecessarily overloading the CPU and bogging down forwarding performance.

The "sending-rstp" can be confusing. It actually shows whether a port should be using RSTP/MSTP BPDU types or STP BPDUs. It does not represent the fact that port is sending BPDUs. We will consider improving the description for this monitor value.

CRS3XX are fairly easy when it comes to vlan configuration on the other hand CRS1XX / CRS2XX are a real thing! One thing I have never heard it's the ability for the CRS3XX to route between vlan interface via hardware please show me how it's done I'm using an upstream router with a trunk to route between vlans. Please make a session with CRS1XX/CRS2XX vlan configuration.
I still dont know why I can configure VLAN filtering on switch chip and do it in hardware. But I cant do it in the software bridge with hardware offloading. What is the reason for this mikrotik. For example with the RB3011
802.11 k/v/r are overrated and don't behave or work the way we think they do. Wave2 support though would be nice but I doubt there would be that much of a performance improvement, particularly if the radio is still only 2x2. Putting effort into an AX access point is where I'd prefer they put their time.
@@KaldekBoch in my experience they work almost perfectly on openWRT, both on 2.4 and 5g bands, I much prefer 1 in 10 calls breaking up than manually reconnecting to another AP every time

Query: I have this Rb4011 in my home with a basic configuration, and I see that if I put the ethernet ports in the bridge I lose the hardware download (HW), but if I deactivate the STP I recover the HW, it is convenient to deactivate the STP in the bridge in a home network? With RouterOS7, it will do it in hardware. However, the RB4011 is so fast that you probably won't notice any performance issues even without the hardware offload even on RouterOS 6.

Hello, you can turn off STP at home if you promise to not creating a loop in your broadcast domain (~LAN) STP actualy blocks traffic from one of the ports (if there is loop) to prevent broadcast storm because you dont have TTL on layer 2. But its not so scary if you have a loop with "STP off" - you network would just not work till you find and delete the loop, without any hardware damage. So dont be scared to turn off STP. Other options: 1. upgrade to Ros 7 with h/w offload STP on these device 2. Leave as is - because your home network usualy cant overload your Rb4011 (just overheat - joke) (its overheats by itself - another joke) XD
