Hi, I have a question : I see that main power is between 18 - 57 Volts. The power adapter is a 24 Volt. When handling 10G SFP+ speeds or 2.5 Gb speeds , would it require a higher voltage power adapter ? Thank you !
Thank you ! Just bought one. It is a very flexible model, handles almost any SFP+ adapter or cable, the Winbox software has so many options and you can do so much with it. Bargain ! I am impressed about the noisy fan, shows me it can go higher rpm which creates a lot of reliability, cools the system in a few minutes. No PoE which makes it even more reliable. Super like on this model !
I have a Mikrotik Hex S router which has SFP port and an RJ45 WAN port, Currently I'm using RJ45 port as main WAN interface and planning to get a second ISP connection can I do multiple ISP with Hex S router with an RJ45 SFP device?
ltap mini ships with internal antenna with 3 u.fl connectors. There is absolutely ZERO information on internet (including official mikrotik website) about each of these cables. Have you ever tried... I dunno... care about your users and write the actual documentation?
Dynamic LetsEncript addressing is not sufficient.. as I see in the log, queries to port 80 were sent from a bunch of different addresses during enable-ssl-certificate.. where was no one matching with the dynamic list records.. So far this is useless.
Good day from South Africa, thanks a lot for including my submission. The whole cabinet is self built, I don't have any problems with heat as I pull air in from the bottom and exhaust out the top.
1:20 "We will have several products in this series." I see two models so far, October 2021 and December 2022 release dates. Where is third model in the series? Will there be a newer version or should I just buy one of those two instead of waiting patiently?
"I don't think it's a bot, since the same type of question was posted in the youtube comments." - normis haha thaks! I'm not a bot! Also sorry for mistakes of dates listed above, lol, I realized I was wrong a while later, but I was using the Amazon first date available for the products as the release dates, but then I saw announcement posts on Reddit for precise dates for each model.
lol rip, I was excited about and just about to order a MikroTik router, but then I had a question, lead to harassment treating me as a nonhuman then escalated to claiming I need professional help, then banned twice, including official MikroTik forum "User suspended to think over why this may be" and with that, I think it may be because of anti-consumer Wall Street corruption that companies are unable to handle consumers that want to shop for products from trusted reliable businesses and with official and unofficial communities that are not trapped in Wall Street ideologies or indoctrinations. Sure, I didn't always try to shop wisely, but when I started, I can't stop, won't stop.
lol, I should have wrote what I meant that it seems the audio recording was sequenced over the video and the mouth movements are not aligned and now I see the word "news" and now I'm questioning maybe that is why, because Wall Street, lol, Wall Street, where did you hide Normunds?
Well shit... Now I have a bunch of scripts to go back through and optimize... Cheers for the examples. Might be worth putting a link to these vids on the Manual Page (if not already done)
You're welcome. Unfortunately there are no add/delete methods, but you can use ':set' to rewrite the value of a single element or the whole array contents.
Good Job! I would love to see more of a home version, that is smaller and not XXL, The "cAP ax XS" Understand the cAP AX is more aimed at business, but I think a lot of home users would like a dedicated AP they could mount (similar to the cap ac) Other vendors seem to be able to offer a smaller Wifi 6 units (UAP 6 Lite) for the home market, just put a hap ax2 in a cap ac case :)
Hello, I can confidently say that Mikrotik Wi-Fi 6 devices are much weaker than the previous generation in terms of ping speed and even range. Of course, in terms of the maximum speed, I still can't comment because of the low speed of my internet. I make this comment comparing the RB951g router and Wi-Fi 6 routers such as Cap ax and hap ax3 and even L009uigs-2haxd-in. My client devices are poco x6 pro and Mibox s.
I recently set up a WG VPN on my HAP AX3 because I want to link multiple sites together. As a side benefit I have ended up using my tunnel to bypass content restrictions and a defective DNS server at work. Even though work is in Canada, Canadian licensed content is blocked on the wifi as they are routed through a server in Seattle... so by tunneling theough my home I get around this... I also recently diagnosed that the wifi fails due to them having failures on their dns server... so by having my phone WG tunneled through home I increased reliability since all DNS requests are done through my mikrotik. WG being fast, reliable and secure I would encourage everyone with access to a publically routable ip address should set it up at home and have their mobile devices tunnelled all the time.
I like the design of hAP lite classic case. Please release HAP AX in classic case. ...and a compact version of CAP AX. Competitors have AX APs with 160-180mm diameter.
I hope to see something like HaP mini with 3 Gbit ports ( poe in 1 port) and 2.4 wifi to use for "fazenda" setup or to take it in travel as secure connecton to home network.
Free idea - LLM that generates configuration for MikroTik devices from description of what you want it to do. Could make changing to MT easier, as you don't need to learn new OS and CLI to get started.
In my opinion i would like to see more color for the design. For the bright leds i like it how it is. Maybe if they were user configurable in routeros. Turn off or on.. and to adjust brightness?
I really like to have the option of turning on/off the leds. If possible, if the leds can be dimmed, that would be amazing, but if cost is a limiting factor, just being able to turn it off would already be great!
I don't know if it's supported by all Mikrotiks, but at least for the RB5009, you can turn off the LEDs with this command: /system/leds/settings/set all-leds-off=immediate
Regarding LED brightness. You could add some knob in the settings and drive all LEDs with PWM if it's not too much hassle. I personally use a tape to dim blue LEDs. They are like flashlight at night.
