I went to Pico Island on the Azores, Portugal to go diving for 2 weeks.
Had the best time ever!
Saw plenty of blue sharks, the fin of a hammerhead, turtles, couple of sperm whales, 4 different species of dolphins, schools of tuna and barracudas, trigger fish, eagle rays and sting rays, loads of mobulas and mantas at princess Alice bank and even got to snorkel with a mola mola.. just wow! I highly recommend diving with Pico Sport! Frank makes everything possible and I have no words to describe the quality of the team. Absolutely perfect! Lots of love for you guys - hope our path will cross again somewhere

Hi, I’m thinking about doing this next month or the month after but I don’t know which one of their day trips to choose. What day trip did you pick that let you see so many varieties?

Hey there! So I’ve done shark diving three times and all you see is sharks and that was my main reason to go. It’s in the middle of the blue. Also princess Alice for the mobulas but we were a bit unlucky. Punta rosais I also enjoyed. We were lucky enough to see a mola mola. Other then that the dive sites are honestly slightly boring. I would stick to the above mentioned highlights and not put money in the rest. Obv the check dive you’ll have to do. Absolutely enjoyed my time over there and highly recommend!

Sehr cool. Wart Ihr auf einem Livaboard oder jeden Tag einzelne Ausflüge gemacht bzw. welchen Anbieter hattet Ihr? :)

Ich hab jeden Tag einzelne Ausflüge gemacht mit pico Sport azores :) insgesamt so um und bei 8/9 mal. War irre gut 🥹

@@katharinagiercke6176 Eine Frage noch, wir wollen auch auf die Azoren, leider bin ich der Einzige aus einer gruppe von 5 der taucht. Lohnt sich Pico denn auch für andere die nicht tauchen, es sieht doch schon sehr karg aus

@@Heavencloud19 geht.. also auf den pico rauf ist sehr schön und man kann gut essen gehen und Wein trinken aber ansonsten ist da für nicht Taucher nicht viel an Aktivitäten. Du kannst auch von den Nachbar Inseln tauchen aber Highlight für mich war wirklich shark diving und princess Alice Banks. Wenn du schon da bist darfst du dir das als Taucher nicht entgehen lassen. Ärgerlich dass die nicht tauchen !
