Nice video, thank you for sharing it. Was there July 2018 as well. Dived with Norberto's Divers, terrific operator. Had no luck with the sharks though, let's just say my diving buddies were... well, you see ? Longing to go back there.

Jörg Kroker Thanks a lot! The best time for diving is from July to September, because the water is rather cold... Just visiting/hiking is more fun in spring and autumn.
Hey, fantastic video. What islands would you recommend for the larger pelagics for both diving and snorkelling, like the mobula rays, dolphins, blue/mako sharks and even hammer head? I'm trying to sort out an itinerary and I'm confusing myself more and more!
I appreciate that you named the specific type of fish or rays or whatever is next.... I've seen in other videos those striped fish and was wondering if you know what they are?
Are the shark trip available from boats leaving ports or marinas? And is the 50 dives strictly adhered to as I've been around many shark diving in fiji.up to 36 so far
Shark trips are leaving from the Port of Horta, Fajal and from Pico. Often there is only one trip a week! You’ll have to ask if your experience is sufficient. I suggest that you do some normal dives there and prove that you are good enough 👍🏼 Have fun!

Hi, I am working on a small documentary project where we are diving around Europe. We are observing trends and highlight questions as marine protected areas and overfishing. Thank you 😊 Usually I dived for about a week. You need some spare time in case the weather doesn’t fit… I always dived on Faial with Norberto Diver in Horta. I wish you a beautiful honeymoon and some gorgeous dives 👌🏼
