Three weeks of diving the Maldives in January 2022.
Atolls visited: North Male, South Male, North Ari, South Ari, Vaavu
Marine life encountered: mobula rays, manta rays, sting rays, eagle rays, reef sharks, nurse sharks, whale sharks, octopus, green sea turtles, hawksbill sea turtles, trevallies, snappers, fusseliers, butterfly fish, surgeonfish, squirrelfish, anemone fish, antheas, and many more.
Diving with Eco Pro Divers onboard EcoBlue and Moonima.
Filmed with Sony RX100 VA, additional equipment by Inon, Nauticam and Keldan Lights.

Beautiful! I also use a RX100V with a Weefine dome lens and love the compact setup. Still need to get some strobe/video light setup that won’t massively increase the size of the compact setup.

When filming you can good to decent (depending on the available ambient light) results with just doing manual white balancing. But bringing light is always a good idea of course.

The Outer Seychelles have at least half a dozen atolls among them, and these have much more in common with what an atoll is supposed to be, according to general understanding, than those of the Maldives.

@@ChrisUnderwaterhi, if you have any recommended dive sites/atolls to visit that would be great? I’ve only been to Fuvahmulah and Addu and hoping to explore other area of Maldives in May 2024
