Taking a look at some of the industrial detritus still spread around Vobster Quarry's southern rim, in amongst the attractions sunk especially for divers. We start at the tunnel and then come up through the crushing works. There is a research site for underwater archaeologists to practice surveying but also a lot of random rusting iron, chunks of brickwork and sheets of old tarp. This time trying out my old MSF500 drysuit, now fitted with dry gloves; they make a major difference to comfort over 100 minutes of 7C water. But I do miss the front zip and flexibility of my usual OThree 1-800.
