except for the guaranteed encounter with tiger sharks, how is the overall diving experience at Fuvahmulah? Did you also spot mantas, barracudas, eagle rays?

For us it was worse than expected. We only did a handful of more dives around the island off the liveaboard, so my experience is limited; but we saw absolutely nothing on those.
