What do you think are the best crafting recipes?

If you're playing Undead, combine your food and drink with an ooze barrel. This creates a poisoned version which heals undead characters.

Here's a VERY strong one Paper + Source Orb + Carrot = Ethereal Storm Scroll That's right. You can cast Ethereal Storm, which usually costs 3 Source Points, over and over again at relatively little cost, as Carrots and Source Orbs are both infinitely obtainable from merchants. If you have Ambidextrous you can cast it multiple times each turn too.

Jar of Mind Maggots + Empty grenade canister = Charming grenade. It is AoE Charm. Very powerful.

A simple but nice one is shells and a long branch. Makes a staff equal to your characters lvl. Makes for a great profit selling them considering the value of the 2 items needed to craft it.

2:00 for this one it may be worth it to invest in the five star diner talent as this will double the effects of the Attar of the Blood Rose, giving you +2 to all attributes instead of just +1

Great video! Here are some additional notes on the points you made: 1. The scroll must be combined with a BLANK spell book of the same school. 2. If either (or both) of the spells from the books being combined require a source point, then the resulting spell book will be a more powerful version that also requires a source point. 3. The game is currently bugged; if you have a glowing idol in a backpack, you will be resurrected on death without consuming the idol. Additionally, you'll be given a new ashen idol in your bag. 5. It's not always a good idea to have poison damage on every weapon, as poison damage will actually heal undead enemies. Also this doesn't work with wands. 6. If you respec at the mirror in act II you will lose the buff from the Blood Rose potion. 8. You can combine any hammer, not just a repair hammer, with nails to create 4 lockpicks. 9. You can also combine Augmentor plants with potions to create higher levels of those potions. Any Augmentor with a minor potion produces a medium, any Augmentor with a medium produces a large, high quality or ultimate quality Augmentor with a large produces a huge and ultimate quality Augmentor with a huge produces a giant. 10. If you have points in thievery, you can pickpocket your co-op partner and plant the poisoned potion on their person without them being privy!

It's so refreshing and nice to allow experimentation without things being destroyed if you don't craft anything from an experimentation. I have never seen another game do this, they always ruin the joy of crafting by introducing risk and loss of stuff.

I had no idea you could combine skills, and I beat the game...

That awkward moment when you've poisoned up all your weapons and then realise it makes you weaker against all undead..... Yeah, don't make the same mistake I did :p

I wasnt expecting much from this video. But i was actually suprised in how really dam useful some of these tips were, Good job.

Two favorites that I found this playthrough are the resurrection scrolls are craftable from any quality of water and life essences and paper, and the fact that later on in the game you can get extra main stats from putting runes into frames depending on the type of rune you use. I have SOOOOOO much more finesse, strength and Int for the final battle now! :D

Make a chemical warfare grenade with the use of intestines + an empty canister. It sells for ALOT.

bonedust+stardust=pixie dust pixie dust + 2 small runes = medium rune

antlers + knife create knockdown arrowheads, if the enemy have low physical armor then these are really useful as you basically make them lose their turn

Some how this game keeps getting better and better

The Blood Rose is also considered "food" thus a party member with 5-star dinner will get an increase of 2 in every stat!

you can get two bloody roses. if you first steal from the witch one rose, then the second can be picked up from her corpse

Funnier option is to give the "healing potion" to your undead co-op partner for a good bit of mind screw, as they avoid using the life saving potion like the plague

2 years later here i am playing this game for the first time and

Keep the ooze barrel stored in your inventory. It seems to be unlimited so you can keep using it on new weapons if you replaced your old ones that were poisoned.

Most powerful crafting? Brewing tea leaves in Act 4, of course.

put the false healing potions during conversation in an enemy pocked ;P hell drink it :D

that potion thing also works with poisons, so if you're undead, you can make a ton of smaller poison potions out of empty bottles and ooze barrels, then combine them all into mega potions. I wish you got a bottle back with it, too, since you're basically just pouring the potion into another bottle, but whatev.

Can you craft a steam key?

Most of those are quite useful! As for nr. 8: "To a warrior, a maul is just a really heavy set of lockpicks"

Best money spent per hour of entertainment given; if you play this game for 100hours, which is just a fragment of all the available content, and you payed full price (45dollars) then thats only 45cents per hour!!! Which other form of entertainment is this cheap? Compare this with going to the cinema or going to a concert...

Glowing idol of Resurrection, you can pick pocket it before getting it, you'll have two ;)

If you have spare gold, you can kick 1 of your followers from the party, recruit a mercenary at the ship, let the mercenary receive the debuff from Dorotya and get the ashen idol of rebirth, then just keep the idol, kick the mercenary and repeat until you get 4 idols (If you have a party of 4) Then just go back and recruit the person you first kicked from your group. 4 idols, no debuff in any of your party members. (So you can actually get something in exchange for the debuff, with your party, since when you get the idol, Dorotya just leave a debuff of -2 cons on you.)

Is this game worth it? It looks really good and I'VE ONLY I MEAN ONLY hear positive things about it

For a potent venom in weapons just combine the weapon with a LARGE or HUGE botle of poison (They are make it in the same way that the healings potions)

This game and BG3 are two of the greatest games of all time

One tip from me and i don't know how known it is BUT in act one you will come across the camp near the end in which you can turn the water infront of a waypoint into blessed water permanently by talking to said waypoint (statue of amadia i believe) and making the right choices afterwards + if you have the perk which allows you to talk to animals you can talk to one or more of the burning pigs IF you healed them from their curse before and make them go into that blessed water the one i chose turned into a merchant who stayed at the camp and had some pretty awesome gear for me :D

Attar of the blood rose is best drank in Arx before you fight the final boss. visiting the hall of echoes at any point, or going to a new act will remove its effects.

To people asking if this game is worth to buy. You can cast whatever skill you have on NPC. Amadia Sanctuary there are some injured NPC I have no idea I can cast heal(restoration) on them and yep their injuries hsve been healed. In the fort joy camp there are 2 sick people one is close to where Migo is. I let him die not knowing I can cast my heal on NPC. Lmao

poison weapons can be made with poison flask (not just ooze barrel), also the blood rose stat boost potion is apparently lost if you respec on the boat.

I spent like 2 hours just crafting lol... fuck man so much to do!!!!!

Pro tip: You can get 2 glowing idols of rebirth. One from doing her quest and one from pickpocketing/murdering.

this isn't specifically relevant but its something i just did on my current play though and thought it would be a great tip.before leaving each act you should respec everyone with thievery and and go around and steal everything possible. by the final act you'll be so geared and rich nothing will stop you

ok, serious question, how are you supposed to find these? how are you supposed to figure all of this out? I have not used the crafting system not once in my 60 hours of gameplay (still early game though, as I die a lot and have to look around for other ways to progress.) it is insane, even how you get some books, or the pre-knowledge required to do some stuff... it is crazy.. like getting the inner demon book, how are you supposed to know that you aren't supposed to talk to Jhaan or whatever unless you have 3 source points? how are you supposed to know he has it to begin with?

Pro tip for newbies: if u summon ur creature into water it will get restoration skill u can use to heal ur party

I find it's almost always better to just pick up the skill book from a vendor than craft one. The only times I could see crafting skill books are to access a few skills a few levels before the game starts selling them, or acquire a skill for two party members at a critical juncture.

Actually I think that the poison healing potion is perfect for healing the undead though obviously the simple poison in a flask is perfectly viable

The ooze barrel is just really useful overall. Combine it with potion bottles (or healing pots but idk why you’d do that) for poison potions that are essentially healing for your undead.

Skills are the most fun part of the game and they've done a terrible job at hinting you could actually combine skillbooks, including source skillbooks to the most fun skills. Instead they hint you about crafting fucking shivs, water balloons and other useless shit
