I mean I get you but I've actually experienced this and it hurts. my stepsiblings were staying at my house(my mom and my stepdad weren't married then) and their family members came to pick them up and go out, leaving my brother and I. I mean I understand why, their not my family but why would you come and pick them up from our house while we are there whilst we were there and just leave the other children? You can't always do shit like that. It kinda hurts. The difference is my brother and I are not children of adultery.

One small advice that I'd give the wife is: stop minimizing the extent of the emotional damage that her actions created. What she did was horrific so she must own it. Her contrition must be internalized in order for her to truly express it outwardly. I think she's somewhat oblivious of the carnage. Glad that their marriage rose to the level of forgiveness & that he wants it to work because of her recent efforts.
