This video discusses the tragic and difficult subject/experience of divorce. More specifically, it gives guidance on how to handle it online/on social media.
Seriously. And on top of that, this video had nothing to do with dentistry. He literally only mentioned dentistry at the very beginning of the video. I feel that he missed the mark on this.... He could've done research on the topic, for example how the stressors of the job can effect marriages and family dynamics and what percentage of marriages amongst couples whom at least one spouse that works in the field end in divorce. He could've mentioned how much of a physical tool the job can take on you over the years, and just how much it can wear a person down. (I only know this because my own dentist had to retire early due to back issues. I'm not sure how common this problem actually is.) Like, he could've actually done research and turned this into a teaching moment but instead, he just rambled on with advice on how to conduct yourself on social media, offering no suggestions to seek out marriage counseling or anything to that effect, either. He's not a divorce lawyer or a marriage counselor, he's a dentist. I don't feel that he should be talking about divorce in this capacity; it just feels extremely out of place. I also, I still dunno why this was suggested to me; RU-vid's algorithm can be so random at times.
