Hi , why use an active balancer beside a BMS? I have done as per previous video this LFY with 30ampBMS, to start bike, but its not enough to crank. But if a separate -ve wire is taken an a push switch used it works, but as you say will try.

The balance function of the BMS only works when the bike is running and the balance current very small. When the voltage between cells is different, the earliest full battery cell will be discharged, then the BMS will charge all 4 cells. If your motorbike only runs short distances (like me), it will not be enough time for the BMS to balance and charge the battery. The active balancer works even when the motorbike is not working, that helps increase battery life.

You can use a 32650 battery instead of a 26650 battery for higher capacity and discharge current while still fitting in the box. You said in comment section in other videos you can use bms 30a to cranking. But with some modification, can you explain that?

Just bypass 2 R005 resistors on the board, if it doesn't work, you can add an about 2.2uF capacitor on the fet like this pic (you can try other value) drive.google.com/file/d/1_12oMAdIAIRcALwey9a4PyI8gwlJjfkh/view?usp=sharing

It's instruction from BMS board manufacturer. (This board has B+ connected directly to P+ so you don's need to connect from battery + to B+ then connect from P+ to charger/load, just waste time and wire. The BMS already connect to baterry + via balance wire)
