Added Correction to Video But please Use an 8MM Hex socket when removing the tensioner bolt in which i used a T50. Some have stated that it has stripped their tensioner bolt.
Thank you! Well explained bro. I had a problem screwing the lower bolt onto the threading but took me a while until it screwed in. It’s tight space but doable.
Just finished doing mine, went super smooth. And I am no mechanic by any means. But you explained everything so well, I just had to try it before I gave up and paid a shop do it. Needles to say I'm very satisfied. Thanks 🫡
Great video. I have a 2015 EX-L 2.4L, Sedan. Automatic. Wanna do the alternator and new belt myself. But I’ve never worked the belts. Do you literally just put it back on and turn the tensioner bolt? There’s no specific tension level or perfect tightness? I’m worried I’ll mess up that belt assembly some how some way.
The tensioner will automatically apply tension once you release it, No adjustments needed on your part other than making sure the belt is on all the pulley's
Excellent video! Thank you. I used masking tape on the 8 mm Allen socket to give me help in turning the socket. What Brand of Replacement Alternator did you use? Did you dash say " Check charging System" ? if so, how to delete from the Dash?
No worries, its not difficult. can be irritating when the belt fights you when installing. Here is a link to our video for the serpentine belt. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-18w3vTJwDjM.html
