I agree with others who commented that the ingredients in this video can be pricey, but this concept for a lazy weekend spread is spot on. It helped me use up some stuff in the fridge and pantry, and I love the idea to blanch the veggies quickly with olive oil & salt. I gave my veggie board a Mexican twist with cucumber spears, lime wedges and Tajin. I make jams with the abundance of fruit we have in our yard, but we don't consume it enough: I always forget to serve it with meats and cheeses (which we always have on hand too). I pretty much live on charcuterie boards most of the summer as I find it too sticky and hot to eat a warm meal. These are beautiful and can be easily modified. Thanks!

You can still leave e.g. apple slices out with peanut butter to dip or other healthy cheap snacks. Her ingredients are for richer people, but the idea is for everyone. And instead of cleaner refills make your own with vinegar, water, and dish soap.
@@gracemaiam3374 I totally agree with The cold cuts being expensive so i go to Costco (U.S.) and I get my fancy cheese, and cold cuts, & veggies in bulk. So if there’s something like a Costco in your area I’d take advantage of the good deals.

You can do one with affordable veggies from your grocery store and for the meats just op for ham and turkey or skip the meat all together if it is too pricey.
Min Ser, ddont over dramatised it. Choose your own groceries items, whichever is affordable and available. Here in Asia, we have a plenty more items, so, will skip tne cheese but replace it with others. e.g sambal belacan, budu, kerabu mangga, yes! Hummus must have, sambal kelapa, tempoyak .... etc etc etc

This is a traditional European platter. In Spain we call it tapas. In Italy antipasti. In France aperitifs......... Next time if you want to elevate the meat platter I would try Jamon Serrano (de bellota Iberico) instead of prosciutto. And in the cheese platter a good cure Manchego. Glass of wine or a cold beer with good company. The best♥️

Why put more plastic bottles in the landfills if you don’t need to... that also goes for the plastic gloves that you are using because you don’t want your fingers to smell like salami, just saying 🤪
I was about to write the same as I enjoyed the video but not the plastic gloves which seemed such a contradiction with the statement about plastic bottles. One can wash their hands after handling cured meat and there is no smell whatsoever left. 🙄😏
When are people going to realize that if humans are on this earth, there will be earth destruction regardless of any way you look at it. Unless we stop technology and modern advances going back to using organic things. If she doesn't use gloves then she will be wasting water in CA washing her hands when there is a drought. If there is not one thing there is the next. Plastic isn't all bad. Plastic gloves helps keeps things sanitize and prevent cross contamination and reduces water use. Some people are allergic to metal and plastic is a good substitute in those cases. BOTTOM Line humans are here on earth, reproducing, and using technology....it will be destroyed one way or another. Media loves to push the idea that there are alternatives to things, but in reality, they are just fooling you to believe that the alternative is any good when in fact it is actually pollution in different forms.
