I just wanted to say this is by far the best affordable charcuterie board I’ve seen. A lot of them do price per serving (which is misleading) or don’t list the products they bought. So excited to replicate yours!
@@cherihoward2323Thirty dollars is a fraction of what I spent the first time I went out and started buying things for a charcuterie board without guidance. I think most people have that same experience. This board represents an excellent value with quality ingredients at a price that is far more accessible than most videos. Smaller budget boards usually look cheap. This looks expensive but is affordable for many people.
My husband is a creative director and wanted something creative and fun to take to his work family picnic, so I suggested a charcuterie board. I’ve never made one and I learned a lot of great tips in your video! They were so helpful… I can’t wait to put it all together this afternoon! And seeing how you got it all from Aldi I think I’d be more interested in making it again for that price point!
This is THE BEST CHARCUTERIE VIDEO! You covered, what to buy, where to buy it, how much it costs, and how to make it look amazing. I love the genius of cutting the aged cheddar into 4 different shapes to give the illusion of many different cheeses. THAT is how you keep from spending a small fortune on a board. Aged cheddar is the most popular and universal crowd-pleaser so this makes so much sense. I watched this video a year ago and made boards for Thanksgiving and Christmas that were a huge hit. This year my family has requested another board. I am back for a refresher and am just inspired all over again by this outstanding video. THANK YOU again for your excellent work.
My birthday is on Thursday and one of the things I wanted was a charcuterie board. I’m in Australia so it’s a bit pricier here. But after getting quotes for boards upwards of $170, I’m like “nah. I’ll make my own”. I managed to get EVERYTHING for under $60!!! From Aldi and two things from a local grocery store!
I was going to say, it cost me around 80 a year or two ago at Coles. This year I'm expecting it to cost around 100 because of inflation.I don't do aldis.. and I don't see much price difference nowadays, where I am anyways.
few tips : turn your cutting board instead of the cheese when cutting so you handle it less, keeping the cheese in the same cut shape helps guests to identify the cheese. looks delicious
@@2PrazzUpwashing your hands is usually sufficient to prevent the spread of illness. Wearing gloves doesn’t do much to prevent the heat from your hands misshaping or warming the cheese.
My son's birthday is next week. I wanted to order one for him. the one I like cost $150 and I said to myself, why not buy everything and platter them yourself. Might cost under $50 instead. That's how I got here🙂 and I'm thankful 🙏 for this video
@@brothertn708 $55 dollars. I didn't put everything on the plate/board. It was more than we needed. It was awesome and fun doing it for my son. I'm going to do it again next month for his birthday and for our anniversary 💕
That's my to go dish, for a girls night in. When we don't want to go out (mostly because my work week is about 50+ hours), but still want to meet and talk. Sometimes I made second board, just with my colorful garden veggies.
I couldn't agree more! Charcuterie boards are just the best! I also love that idea of the colorful garden veggies 🥰 Wishing you a wonderful holiday season! ❤️
@@brothertn708 So only 1 person gets the rose? No. Don't think so. Perhaps a small fork so a few pieces can be taken. Also, cut the grapes from the stems!.
LOVE IT! I'm expecting two groups of people at out lake home, on two separate weekends. I want to make a charcuterie board, for the first time. Your video is so helpful in regards to price, cheese selection, meats, nuts, etc. Your presentation is sensational! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you SO much! I am so happy this video was helpful! In the description I listed some alternative cheeses too in case you want to change it up for each board :) Hope they come out absolutely amazing! 💖🤗
I was in catering for 14 years. Great job on this board. Unfortunately no Aldi’s in my neck of the woods so that probably add another $10 to the overall costs but still a great budget board and would satisfy all of different tastes. Thanks for the upload !!
I’m in CA. This will cost me way over $50. Considering the wedge of cheese I love is about $15. I’ll be lucky if i can find a wedge for $10 after digging through it all. But love the board! Wished we have an Aldi here!
What a beautiful board! I appreciate your attention to detail and the fact that you inform the viewer on the name of the items, where to buy them and how much they cost!
I love it,I'm doing this tomorrow for a family get-together,I'm using a glass chopping board as I don't have a wooden one,it's my first time to do one I'm excited. It would probably look better on wood but I'm using lots of ramekin bowls to displays olives etc it will be trial and error but it will be worth it💙
So happy you loved the video! Thank you for watching :) A glass chopping board works great for a charcuterie board as well. There is truly no right or wrong way to do it! I hope your first board came out absolutely beautiful & you loved it! The more boards you made the easier it gets for sure 💖 no matter what it is always delicious!
Amazing! I am so happy to have found a video that gave easy instructions on how to make a beautiful AND super cost effective board! Thank you so much for the Aldi's tip on great cheese and meat.
Truly so happy to hear this was so helpful! Thank you so much for watching! Hope it helps you put together a beautiful charcuterie board that you love! 💖
Been thinking of giving it a go, and here you are with a PERFECTLY done tutorial!! Thank you so much!! Some things just don’t come natural to a lot of us.
Yes! Tons of great options! Trader Joes a great alternative for charcuterie if you have one nearby. Not as inexpensive as Aldi but they do have some great quality options for the price :) Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
I love this board so much! I have been watching a lot of charcuterie board tutorials and ingredient suggestions.. I will be making a single serve charcuterie snack to bring for lunch at work 😉
I’ve never made a charcuterie board before. Thanks for the advice to buy everything at Aldi and also for giving me great ideas of what to buy. You made a beautiful charcuterie board!
Wow wow wow ! Thank you sooo much for sharing this. Man you put me right on track. Aldis is my got to place for my groceries already 😅 Now I'm even more excited to head in and get started.
Thank you for taking us shopping with you. LOVED that about this video. Takes some of the intimidation out of this and gives an easier lift off for those of us that are culinarily challenged.
I am so happy to hear that!!! Truly means so much to me! I hope to take the intimidation off so you can easily make something you love & that your guests will love as well. Thank you so much for watching & I hope your board comes out beautiful 🥰❤️
It came out beautiful and I can't wait to try Aldi for all of my charcuterie needs. I would like to see a video that explains what cheese goes best with what meat choices and why/how it compliments the flavors of each.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed the video! Definitely stop by Aldi, you definitely won't regret it! You truly cannot beat the prices for the selection they offer! Also, thank you so much for the awesome video idea, I would love to do something like that super soon! 🤗
Thank you for sharing this video, you gave me idea how to design the cheese, fruits & etc., on my baby daughter's wedding in 5 weeks, you did a good job, and you have a great day👍🏼
Thank you so much! 🥰 I am so happy to hear this video was helpful! I hope your first board comes out absolutely beautiful! Wishing you a wonderful holiday season ❤️
@@TheCraftyGalCarla Ha ha ha, I wish we have too, but I am not based in USA! Thanks for the kind suggestions too! And yes I REALLY REALLY wish DOLLAR Tree can come to where I am too!!
Aldi rocks❤ you could never make the same board. If you didn’t go there just use your imagination. I absolutely love the round rotating cutting board. I have to get one of those really beautiful job you did ❤
Fan shaped meat is so much more practical than the roses which would be really difficult to pull apart. Also I would take the grapes off the stems, once again making the food options easier to pick up. I appreciate the ideas for making a thrifty charcuterie.
Thanks for sharing, keep those videos coming. I want to learn more, my oldest son want to try one of those boards. I want to surprise him with one, I made myself.
That would be so sweet and such a nice surprise! 💕 Hope it comes out beautiful! Thank you so much for your support 💖 Truly hope it was helpful & I definitely look forward to sharing more fun and helpful board ideas 🤗
Thank you so much!💕That is such a good idea! Sounds like you're going to have a nice variety when you make your board 🤗 Hope it comes out absolutely beautiful!
Thank you so much! I will definitely be sharing more charcuterie board ideas in the future :) If there are any specific themed boards or ideas you'd love to see, feel free to comment here and I would be so happy to include them in my future videos 💖
You saved me💋 I'm far from anything when it comes to entertaining but I don't know what my friend was thinking 🤔 She picked me to do the charcuterie. Hah!!! Just when I am now in retirement & on a pincher budget😤😁
Thank you so much for sharing this :) This is so great! Could I request a particular video for those of us who are not familiar with how to eat some of the foods on the board properly? Olives are easy peasy, pop them and swallow them :) Do you eat the white topper on the brie? On your halloween board you have some cheddar with a wine tinged side, do you eat the coloured part? Do you leave toothpicks by the plates or are all the hands just grazing the board? Make a video on the guide to consuming the yummies, and not the ickies :D Thank you so very much!!
Oh wow! I’m so sorry to hear that. I know that prices can vary from place to place and the prices have gone up so much in this past year. Thankfully the Aldi’s here in Florida have not changed too much in price for these specific items. Do you have an Aldi near you? Trader Joe’s can be another great option if you don’t have an Aldi! ❤️
