Randomly saw ur vedio nd tried it.. turnd out prety well.. i renovated my old table by covering the entire top wid a black chart paper nd did d same foil art at one of d corners.. simple & classy.. Thanks for inspiring.. 🤘

What a great idea! I can't wait to make something similar to this for my new place. I'll be using canvas instead of a poster though. Then I'm going to cover the canvas with black velvet fabric and use fabric glue to stick down the raindrop shaped alumni foil.

This, on a table with an epoxy finish. Or on a plate, epoxy finish as a backsplash. Love it.

you can try to use left over tea light aluminium circular cups after the wax is used up. just press the cups inward from two opposing sides to form a leaf. one side will be smooth

I just learned about James Hampton this week -- another artist who used foil to create with, so wanted to see what you were going to make with foil also. Did you know you can purchase shiny aluminum tape at the hardware store? Pull a piece off, draw your pattern on it, cut it out, peel the backing off and smooth it on your black poster board. A lot of the card makers I know use it on their masculine cards. You can even make raised embossed designs with it.

The machine that makes the embossed designs on the tape, also has steel rule dies that will cut or punch out the leaves also. I have a Cuddlebug, but the Big Shot is another popular machine. It's lots of fun to play with! =0)

Would this work for blank CD as Well?.......maybe spray painted in other colors and glitter ,or glued to so me sort of transparent material ???

That's a good question. I haven't tried that yet so I can't be sure. I am guessing that it would be a bit tricky to make it work. If you use transparent CD's the glue you use to bond it with the base (paper, canvas, etc) will be visible. Another thing to keep in mind is that it's almost impossible to cut CD's into identical leaf shapes. If you decide to try that idea let me know the results, I would like to know if it can be done.

HMEA...THIS WOULD BE A GREAT IDEA FOR MAKING YOUR OWN "WALL PAPER" THE METALLIC WALLPAPER I SAW COST $29.00 / ROLL. OVER THE TOP FOR ME. BUT THIS IS A GREAT IDEA FOR DOING WALL COVERINGS, EVEN W/ PIECES OF OTHER WALL PAPER INSTEAD OF ALUMINUM LIKE FLOWERS ETC. BUT THE ALUMINUM IS REALLY CLASSY!!! GREAT IDEA!!

Very nice! I have my foil and and black foam backing and ready to do one myself. I noticed the foam backing has some rough edges in spotty areas all around and was wondering how - or if - I should frame somehow. But yours is so gorgeous without framing. Any suggestions welcome.
