Happy new Year! This is Sarah from Always Dolls and thanks for joining me. American Girl has released their 2022 Girl of The Year - Corinne Tan. So today we share with you how to make a simple version of Corinne and Gwynn’s bedroom set. Build the cabin bunkbeds complete with bedding, make the fun ski-lift chair and bedside table. Just know you can substitute foam board with cardboard but we recommend cutting/gluing a few pieces together for the same thickness and strength. You can also make the post from cardboard instead of Balsa wood but again need to cut/stack/glue a few together to make it strong. Hope that helps 👍🏼

@@alwaysdolls You're welcome and thank you so much!! An omgosh I could tell it was huge. I have the school house OG or My life?? Not sure. I have yet to play with it. But I thrifted it in september LOL An i was like WHERE can I put YOU!! So right now it is in the mudd room with everyone elses things. Maybe sometime this year I can display and play with it lol.... its so cute but its soo big. Too bad no one has invented a shrink ray so we can shrivel down our toys when we aren't using them.

I am just amazed at what a piece of foam board can be turned into. All I've ever used them for (besides the kid's science fair projects) have been walls or background. Really need to up my game!

Aww thank you so much tired kettle 🥰😀 We are so glad you enjoyed this bedroom diy ❄️🛏⛷ Also for clean foamboard cuts use a sharp Stanley or Xacto blade with a metal ruler and try to stay over-top the foam board so the edge is cut straight and not on a slight angle from your wrist tilting. Hope that helps 👍🏼

This is amazing! My daughter really just wants the ski slope, what size foamboard would you recommend for just that part? And are they all the same thickness?

Hi Amanda S 👋 thanks to you and your daughter for watching 👀😀 if you just want to make the ski slope I would suggest thick foam board (here in Australia we get a choice of 5mm and 10mm) so it will hold up to the weight of the AG doll. Hope that helps

Hi the long posts are 72cm tall and the short posts are 52CM tall to match the height of the backwall 👍🏼 you may wish to adjust this to the size of your foamboard
