Those dance moves! I had to watch the video twice... I didn't even notice the flashing lights until the second watch ;)

Great project! I'm really looking forward to the equaliser follow up too, it would look great on those LED matrixes

Im struggling with the audio amplifier. The adc plotter plots value between 410-450 and does not react to audio. When i turn the potentiometer the signal goes to 0 and up to 410-450. Can you give me the equivalent resistance values of the potentiometer for 3.3-5v input ?

Very nice! What about a FFT for it to map the frequencies to the lights?

Thanks I hope to try this project! I wonder : did you... or did you try aligning the audio frequency spectrum with color spectrum?? How is the color chosen? Thanks!!

Hi, i wanted to use this DIY project for my DIY Nanoleaf light Panels, wich also use LED strips . My idea was it that the Leafs should react to Music. I used instead of the LM358 a LM2904N and just get an very low Input (about 480 - 520)… Has anybody got a soloution of my Problem? I think the LM2904 doesn´t amplify the inputting Voltage...

Stumbled upon the MAX9814 with an 1.25V offset, 2Vptp and some sort of auto gain control. Might be helpful.

Cnlohr did make color cord 2. I would like a look there before you start mapping colors to notes.

What have I learned? Some songs come to mind... Dancing in the Dark... Dancing with Myself.. Seriously, great project. More electronics, less dancing. :-)

to reduce the processing requirements it would probably make sense, to extract only the audio envelope from the signal. just a rectifier and a low-pass filter with 10-30 Hz. the beat structure and the signal amplitude is still there, but the sampling rate could be as low as 20-60 Hz.

what happens when you up or down the music volume ? How do you compensate the amp Gain so the output signal stays the same? I'm super stuck on that one

it's possible to get the sound from a 3.5mm aux in instead of a sound sensor?

can u pls make a quick video on your led lights reacting to a thunder sound with only one color like white or blue. I want to make sure before i build the circuit, it is doing the trick i want it to do.

Do you really need the offset voltage? Most times sound amplitude should be quite similar in positive and negative, so maybe it is easier to just amplify and cut off the negative part of the wave. At least for this use.
@bitluni
@bitluni 6 лет назад
That's true! BUT this is a general solution.. you could use it to record the audio. Since I want to make a frequency analysis in the next step a straight cut off at 0 would create a square wave which pollutes the whole spectrum
@Feier_Salamander
@Feier_Salamander 6 лет назад
Of course. Thought of this as someone mentioned FFT in the comments. That was i meant with "at least for this use". Keep up with the nice projects.
