This video inspired me to go out and build my own board. And boom! Got the whole thing done super quick. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions.
Awesome video. Best design I’ve seen. I like the details like the grip tape. Under support & bumpers. I also like the pvc pipe. I’ve been using a two foot 2x4 on a foam roller, but I’m going to build your version to take to my dojo
Nice video. I always wander what could be done to keep a balance board from running away from me and slipping away. Bumpers takes care of that problem. Now I am wondering all,the ways I can make chances to adjust from beginner level for a person with poor balance to advance balance. How would different variations affect the balance board such as dististance apart the bumpers are, size of bumpers, size/diameter of tube to balance the board, how to put a track on board and tube, different levels of track designed to beginner to advance, different material for tub that goes under the board to change the affect different ways from easy to hard level, and any other possable variations I had not though of, but others. Also as a person becomes more advamce what could the do to make the balance board work in other directions besides just moving forward and backward. Such as tilt of board while using. Finally an observation that you may like. When cutting the tape to different shape and lengths like you were trying to do in the video. If you take a wax pencil/ crayon, I bet you could draw a long on the board, with tape on it, so together the shape in length you would like it to look and have on the board fairly quickly. Just by drawing over the two when you have the tape on the board. Then you can see where you would like the tape to be cut, direction of cuts, and placement of tape when you finaly secure the tape to the board. Also with this method I bet the artest in you can allow you to explore all types of design and layout in the board with the tape with all types of fascinating designes which should only be limited by your imagination.
24-36" long typically, a bit wider than your feet are long. There's no specific size, small boards are more difficult to use than larger ones with the same size roller.
