This is gorgeous! We are getting ready to remodel our guest bathroom after a flood from a main water break just above the shower in the ceiling eeek. Couple of questions, will the wall paper bubble up from steam from the shower? How did the Pailin the shower curtain rod hold up with moving the curtain back and forth?
I watched the reveal again more closely (was half asleep the first time)-Girl, I am especially impressed with how you made over the builder grade light fixture-It looks like it may have cost $300 Alone!! You never cease to amaze me-Luv Ya!
I just added wall paper to my bathroom a few months ago, glad to know that I am not the only one that struggled. The wall paper really adds and I was nervous that the steam from the shower would cause it to peel. A few months later it is still looking amazing! Now its time to move onto the next bathroom :-)
I remember my mom using paint and contact paper in all her “updates” of our childhood home 45 years ago. I learned so much about being a frugal decorator yet still having a beautiful home. So thankful for all of her great wisdom she passed to me. 💖 I miss her every day.
I watch many RU-vid designers and think”Oh, that’s clever” but when I watch yours I think “ This is perfect! When can I do it to my house?!” This is another example💗 I’ve been wanting to revamp my master bath and now I know exactly what I am going to do! Thanks for being the best!
This is so amazing. My sister lives in Florida and this is exactly her bathroom layout. I’m sure she’ll be inspired at what can be achieved. I made some comments on this site a couple years ago which were well meaning but perhaps not expressed in the right way. I just want to thank you for championing, empowering and inspiring women’s diy 😍 🙏🏾
Oh my goodness NataLee...your light fixture turned out absolutely gorgeous! You did a beautiful job! I want a table saw too, I just can not afford it right now! All of my money that I have saved up is going toward my craft room reno right now! It is coming along nicely! And your scrap pieces of wood as the perfect sizes for your shelves...you can't beat that! 😁 I love how your bathroom turned out, it is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! ❤ As always, you do great work & I appreciate all of your hard work! As always, thank you for sharing your bathroom makeover with us! Stay safe, healthy and positive! God bless you and your family! Have a great weekend! 🙏❤🇺🇸😊
Love!!! I used the peel and stick wall paper for my daughter’s room... both of my daughters are always wanting to redo their rooms every couple of years, so I gave it a go. A bit of a learning curve, but once I got the hang of it, it went up super easy and looks amazing even after several months. 😊
NataLee u r incredibly brave. At 77 I have taken on things that only men usually do n could never understand y people saw that as unusual. But u my dear, the math alone to get things straight n level thrills me n gives me encouragement I need to take on my bathrooms. Love love love the painters tape hack to hang things. Love when u shoot straight n show ur mistakes or difficulties. Again, it’s encouraging. 👏👏👏🌟🌟 ur personality is special. Makes us out here watching feel as though we r the only friends in the room with u. Thank you, hugs WHAT A BEAUTIFUL FINISHED BATHROOM TO BE SO PROUD OF!!!!!!!!
Lovely! I love all of it! I’m interested to follow the vanity light with the spray paint! I’ve been thinking about painting the builder grade light above my kitchen table! It has that same foggy glass but looks similar shape to one I’m obsessing over on Pinterest that’s black with gold on the inside where the bulb is!
Super job as usual. My husband got "Covid" renovation fever and replaced a bunch of light globes. He even painted the blue part of one globe with green to make it look yellow. It worked great. He loved the Edison Lights and replaced all the lights up stairs with them. We accidently got the white blubs instead of the yellow. They were so bright we took them back. Looking forward to your next job.
Did you have your face surgically put into a permanent smile? BTW, according to the law, a renter is NOT ALLOWED to modify, even remove a towel hanger, without the OWNER'S WRITTEN PERMISSION. YOU are telling your viewers to break the law. Why? And then you are going to "paint" it!!? You'll never match it and again, YOU NEED THE OWNER'S WRITTEN PERMISSION TO PAINT ANYTHING!!! YOU should take down this video because you are jeopardizing the viewers with a LAWSUIT if they follow YOUR instructions. Few renters carry a table saw around with them!! Please, CONTACT A REAL ESTATE LAWYER, he'll tell you to take down this video!
Wow, you are truly incredible! I love everything you planned and accomplished!! You seem to be rebuilding that home...would you please share the wall paint color & manufacturer for this bath? Thank you for a very enjoyable video, Nata Lee....
Wow Cecelia! Thank you so much! What a complement. Just as an FYI I did that makeover almost 6 months ago and the light fixture is still holding up perfectly!💕
You’re amazing. I love to rewatch your videos and see how you mix metals and textures. I always think I have to keep it all builder style brushed nickel. But you have helped me think outside of the box. From my heart thank you!!! Plus this girl has a new compound mitre saw and Brad nailer. Can’t wait to Christmas when my wish list looks like a Home Depot store. 😊😊
Hi I’m new to your channel.. I’ve been looking for some inspirations how to transform my bathroom and kitchen without spending thousands of dollars and recycling what I have. Thanks for sharing the video! I love your design style btw, suits mine.
Wow, it looks absolutely amazing! You did a fabulous job and I can’t believe you accomplished all of that for $300! I feel a sense of serendipity about you sharing the “Painter’s Tape Trick”. It’s going to make my day so much easier! I’m going to be hanging dozens of “clocks and skeleton keys” of all shapes and sizes this morning... It’s my version of a “Gallery Wall”. Thank you so very much! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
The before pics may have been a little dull but the makeover was more gaudy than spectacular. Sorry, I just don't see the Wow that your friends pretend to see🙈
Such a beautiful transformation. You are an energizer bunny. I was dubious about putting that wallpaper over a textured surface but it turned out good. What color are the walls. In some light it looks grey or cream
I love your videos! What my eye outside of the light fixture was the toilet paper holder! Did you make it out buy it? It looks like something you could make….
Just to let people know, unless you have express written permission for each thing you want to do in a rental, that is called damaging property. So even if it comes out better in your eyes, people will loose their deposit and possibly be in for a lawsuit.
I love this renovation. I had my small bathroom remodeled and we all hate the results. This is my third viewing. I want to make sure I get it right this time. No money for another failure. I really enjoy your enthusiasm. I feel your confidence. It is contagious and inspiring. God has blessed you with a gift 🎁 and you are sharing it. I am grateful 😇 and will put mind and hands to the task. 🙏🏾God Bless you and family.
I'm in awe of this bathroom! It looks so high end and to think that you accomplished that with a lot of hard work, skills and minimal budget is fantastic! Love the paint color on the walls.... would you please share the color and brand? Thanks!
I honestly can’t say this enough Natalee..you truly are an inspiration for women that anything is possible when it comes to tackling these amazing Reno’s..not only are your projects gorgeous but showing how even painting a light fixture makes a dramatic difference ❤️❤️❤️thank you for being such a joy to watch..love from Canada 🇨🇦 I am curious how long this reno took you to complete?
Wow! This is JUST what I'm needing! We're downsizing and will need to do some reno on the cheap but I don't want it to LOOK cheap. Question regarding the light fixture (which looks fantastic!) did it end up making the room darker because of the blackout glass? And did the spray paint on the glass have any issues with the heat from the light bulbs? I wasn't sure what color scheme to go with but black with gold accent it is!!! Love it! Thank you!
@@darkhorse9472 yes, that is a great solution, better even. We have aluminum wiring in our house and the LED bulbs flicker and go out on us sometimes. Electrician told us to use incandescent lights only. 😩 We still have some LED where we can get away w it. Always good to know that there are heat resistant paints out there too incase you really do need them. Thanks!
Beautiful! Well done as always! You are extremely talented especially with your knowledge of power tools that gives your projects such a classy finished look. Thanks for sharing all that you do...such a blessing to all your followers!❤️✝️🙏🏻🛠🧰
You certainly addressed my question on updating a vanity! It all looks great!! Fresh, updated and best of all it does not break the bank. You’re the best!
I love your vanity makeover so much, I think I have found the solution to my contractors' grade maple finished kitchen cabinets! I have been thinking of painting my cabinets for over four years but have not been able to envision the finished look to my liking. This shiplap idea of yours is the perfect solution. You always have such great ideas......keep them coming.
Wonderful Reno!!!!! I LOVE doing these projects as I too am a hands-on girl! Great ideas and I love the blue tape to measure hack…I was always doing it the old fashioned way but no more!!!
Did you use heat-resistant matte black spray paint on those frosted shades? Like what they make for smokers, barbeques, stove parts, etc.? I adore the Edison bulls you put in them -- just worried about the heat from the filaments on that paint.
I just removed a towel bar from inside the shower. Two of them actually and the guy who added them...USED 2 inch SCREWS!!!! Needless to say, some caulking, sanding and it looks a smidge better. Going to get slip resistant "stickers" to put up a border of sorts to cover the holes. Wish me luck that it won't look cheesy. LOL
Girl, you've got skills...put on the shiplap with one hand, no taping before painting, and calming your adorable puppy! Love what you did...it's a Purdue bathroom (black/gold). Question: what is that piece of plastic, with holes in it that you used to measure where to put the hardware on the vanity...that's pretty cool!?! Lots of inspiration 💖!
Not sure if you know this .. But Lowes and Home Depot sell $1.00 spray paint in flat and gloss black and white paint ! Its usually on the floor under the other spray paint but it works great !! I usually buy it by the case ! And you can NOT beat $12 for 12 cans of spray paint !! **I think Home Depot went up a little so its like $1.25 now .. But still SO worth it !!
I have the same bathroom layout especially the textured walls. Does the texture on the walls make the wallpaper bumpy? I didn't think those kind of walls you could wallpaper. Also does it bother you that in the shower/tub and sink fixtures don't match??
The wallpaper is a tad bumpy… but it doesn’t look too bad. As far as the faucets, I am totally okay with mixing metals. If i bumped up my budget a bit I would switch them out but I wouldn’t paint them. I have before in the past and it doesn’t last over time.
I want to do something in our guest bath which has a double sink vanity. I’m hoping Mirror Mates frames will add some elegance to the enormous mirror. Then to replace (at least temporarily) the outdated bypass glass sliders on the tub/shower a shower curtain. The round toilet needs replacing and I found one that only adds 2 inches and it would be an oval seat.
Wowza! What a transformation! The vanity looks brand new. I love the removable wallpaper design. The winner was definitely the light fixture! Absolutely amazing job girly!💕
Beautiful transformation, but personally I don't like the wall texture showing through the wallpaper. I also don't think it'll stay up long due to the texture allowing air to creep in between the paper and wall.
Nice work on completely transforming a bathroom on a tight budget. Not a fan of shiplap usually but love what you did to modernize your bathroom vanity. If you have a dedicated laundry room, I'd love to see a laundry room makeover one of these days. Aren't table saws the best?
I do have a laundry room that needs a makeover desperately. But I probably won’t be able to get to it until the holidays are over. But I’m thinking maybe January?💕
