I love that you talk your way through all the steps and experiment with things. I’m a new crafter and it really helps my brain understand how to think through this stuff. Whenever I hear you apologize for something, I’m thinking “Why are you apologizing?” because I really need to know all those little details. Now I know what I was doing wrong when I was making the poinsettia ornaments. I put too much glass glitter! I thought more was better but no it makes it cloudy. Thank you Happy Bird.

Love this project and easy to do. When I was teaching prek and kindergarten , the custodian called me the glitter queen as a lot of the holiday projects the children made had glitter on them. A little tip about putting glitter back in the containers. Use a sheet of notebook or xerox paper and put a fold in the middle. Then when you have to put it back in the container you slide the glitter to the middle fold and it slides down the paper into the container. I found this was the easiest way to save the glitter. These are very pretty. Some years ago I made stars for my tree. I decorated both sides. I'll have to take some pics of them as I decorate my tree this year. I found triple thick @ Wal-Mart. I'm thinking that the colored bling ribbons would look very nice on the edges of these. There are so many colors of this and you can get it from the $ stores up to and including Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart and online. I hope you and your's and all of my fellow subbies have a very Merry holiday season

So pretty. But, alas, we just moved....all of my craft boxes are still packed and stored between two garages. I would never find my glitter in the jumble. With all of the beautiful glitters that you blended together, those stars would cost me about $50 to make. Worth it though😍

You make such beautiful things. I’d like to try to make some, but I’m afraid my family would revolt. They hate glitter because they say once you get it you can never get rid of it. They’re guys and they’re not into walking around with glitter on them. I used some glitter ribbon for Christmas one year an every so often it’s like pieces appear out of thin air.

You could probably use decoupage glue but it might not hold as much glitter. I would do like Lori says and coat both sides, let dry then add a thick coat of decoupage glue.
