I've been working on this all week and it was totally worth it. It's a fun and budget friendly way to make your own big cactus plant that looks realistic. Who knew pool noodle projects could be so cute!!

WOW thank you Laci so happy to hear you liked it! OMG REALLY!!! YAY it makes my day to hear this. I was so scared it would turn out looking cheesy LOL😬 Every time Tony comes in the house he giggles and says " UM😂 hunny I think the cactus grew an inch" Funny guy! Than yesterday he decided to play a prank on me and said he watered it when I left the house for errands!! I WAS LIKE WHAT which cactus did you water?? !!! HAHA 😂 Always pulling my leg! Yes it's pretty inexpensive! GIRL I'm always on a tight budget! They charge an arm and a leg for pretty things like this nowadays even though it's plastic 😕!

Please, keep showing these awesome ways of making them beautiful cactus. I know I'm not alone when it comes to keeping real beautiful cactus/ flowers/ anything else alive. Im still working at it. Very creative!! I work with plaster all the time and you can add water if it starts to harden to quickly. Just make sure you mix it so there are no lumps. Thanks for sharing!

I live this idea. If succulents turn black, your over watering. Water once a month in winter (when in house) and the water needs to drain out.

I live in the Arizona desert 🌵 so I have many cacti 😄 They are super easy to care for. Overwatering is the most common problem. My problem out here is critters like to snack on the smoother ones. I have to fence them or bring inside. This is so cool! I want to try it. 😃👍

Yeh I suck with plants. I'm surprised the live ones I have are still alive. LOL I tend to forget to water than I end up over watering. I think consistency is my problem. OH wow I didn't know they're eatable. That's so interesting! YAY! let me know how this project goes for you 🤗👏 👏

They turned out great! We're doing a ghost town theme for Halloween this year, and with some modifications (eg, a base other than a pot, monster mud in lieu of plaster) these will add a nice Western-y feel to the yard.
