This weeks video will be our DIY breakfast nook where I show you how to make a dining nook in our bench seating tutorial! A lot of you have requested this video so I gathered up all of my footage and did my best to explain our breakfast nook build! This was probably the most difficult DIY we have ever taken on so far. So it's a little rough due to our lack of experience but I hope you can use this as somewhat of a rough guide if you are looking to do something similar in your home! Frame Measurements (Frame ONLY.. not including top piece or cushion): Height: 16.75 inches

Beautiful job. I saw something like this and they used piano hinges on the lift top doors. If you sanded the doors a little bit so they didn't rub on each other that might work. Just a thought for your future updates. I can't wait to rebuild the old one in my house.

For that type of hinge you may want to try rounding the back edges of the lid panels. That should prevent interference when the lids are rotating. Great job overall!

That looks great. I have the tiniest dining room. The only problem is I have bottom cabinets. That would mean losing a lot of storage. So I’ll keep my little dining table.

I have a little corner of my room that has the leather arm chair that goes with my couch pushed into a corner. I was thinking I can get a small retuarant table maybe 24 x 24 and do a corner bench/ booth because I'm going to add a high back on mine but I love the video thank you your place looks great.
