Energizer Battery - CR2032 - amzn.to/2DecUq6'
This video will go through how to replace the battery in your remote / fob for 2014-2018 Cadillac vehicles. The remote takes a CR 2032 battery and can be done in a few minutes.
GM P/N: 13580811, 13594024, 1358539, 13598507, 13510254
FCC ID: HYQ2AB Both PN and FCC ID can be found inside on the back of the remote case. Freq: 315 Mhz
Free insert key included, same as OEM 22984994, Strattec 5922070
This remote also fits:
15 16 17 18 Cadillac ATS
14 15 16 17 18 Cadillac CTS
15 16 17 18 Cadillac XTS

I have the same exact key fob but that’s not a CR2032. It’s smaller.

Mine will NOT separate...All it did was start tearing the fob cover!!! Hopefully I can get to a dealer, before the damned battery goes dead! 2020 xt4

Great video. Another way, which is even simpler, is to insert a small straight-slot screwdriver into the MIDDLE of the BOTTOM of the case. and then pry up. Look closely and you will see a small rectangular hole to do this. Of course, you will still have to first remove the key.

Yes. A small pry-twist with flat blade in the MIDDLE is better, prying the side key slot can tear the rubberized plastic.

Very helpful. We bought the Caddy used so did not know how old the batteries were. I had Totally Forgotten about the hidden key. We bought a Fob Cover so it no longer shows the hidden key. Your video was short, quick and to the point. Great Job!

Video was very good....However no where as easy as it looks!!!!! #2 in 3 years batteries went to $13.99 for a 4 pack and $5.99 for a 2 pack... JUST so you know, Oh Our daughter-in-law finally was able to open it....And it works!

My key fob cracked a little trying this, now I’m afraid to try again to open it :( . I wonder if they make replacement pieces just for the backside of the key fob?
