Quick tip- carbon fiber arrows are super light and strong. You might even be able to find damaged ones for cheap on eBay or a local archery shop.
By replacing the stiffening shafts in your gear with light weight carbon fiber you can save a surprising amount of weight.
Worry about the ounces and the pounds will take care of themselves!

This is a really cool mod i bet loads of people are considering, it would be great to know what spine your arrows were though if you can? I imagine 1000+ would sag and 300 might snap, so if you landed on the sweetspot it would be great to know. Thanks for uploading dude

Thanks! I used what I happened to have around which were 55/70 arrows or rated for 55 to 70lbs draw and I believe they were 400 spine. So there might be a better one, but these worked well.

Carbon fiber will deteriorates by U.V. so make sure you paint the body of it or spray some clear coat .

It's been half year pass, how's the chair? I'm considering to do the same chair by your method , but I'm curious it's durability.

Only problem I had was the rod came out of the end a couple times because I didn't sew it well enough. Make sure not to cut at the very end because it will be hard to sew back up.

Now here's a guy who doesn't give a crap as he talks about simply using arrows to turn his three pound chair into a 9 ounce chair (and I think the fabric alone on his cheap three pound chair would be 9 ounces) and then he ends the video by plopping his self absorbed sorry butt into a DIFFERENT chair RU-vid has a like and dislike button but where is the slap button?

Hi Daniel, when you leave a comment on my video it goes straight to me, the creator, so you don't need to speak in the third person. Sorry if it wasn't clear that the other chair was a comparison to see which would be more comfortable. Spoiler alert: the modified chair was more comfortable.

@@WhatDennisDoes Well, people talk in 3rd person because the comments are for everyone. Not just to the creators. I personally thought you could have shown the actual carbon fiber chair and maybe even how you made it so your video was pretty underwhelming for me. Nevertheless, it's a good idea. Do you know if you can just buy carbon fiber chairs? I can't seem to find any on the net.
