It will work great on your kids stains.

Not sure we would recommend spit clean to others, but do what you are comfortable with. Carpet cleaners can be rented from the store pretty cheaply.

Majesty, it will depend on how you define store it for a while. If you mean mix it up and leave it on the shelf for a year of two then probably yes. We use ours ALL the time, so leaving it to sit on the shelf for a week or two will not hurt it at all.

We don't think it will. Those white spots probably mean that whatever you used previously, has "bleached" so to speak your carpeting. So sorry!

@@garyfletcher844 As I said in my comment, Hydrogen Peroxide is light sensitive. If you buy HP it will always be in a dark container for this reason.

Whenever you go to a party, have a "to-go" bag in your car with the carpet cleaner ... or maybe put it in your "Mary Poppins" bag with a coat rack and a kite. I would not dry before the second washing. Drying helps set stains in clothes.

Jenny, Rene is correct - don't dry the clothes between washings - heat causes the stain to set, making it harder to get out.

Good for you Tom. We have found that there are some stains that regular soap can't get out. This special solution works on those hard to get out stains.

It looks like it works great on the carpet and I'm definitely going to mix up the carpet cleaner for our machine too. I've been looking for a spot remover that's not too toxic for a "carpet emergency kit" I'm putting together. I've got a recycled small laundry detergent bucket, a spray bottle, a few rags and a roll of paper towels. I've lined the bucket with several plastic grocery bags, one inside the next and put the supplies in the bucket. Then whenever we have a spill or the dog throws up it's a simple matter to just grab the one bucket out of the cleaning closet and get to work.

This has been key to getting blood stains out of sheets , underwears etc. Make sure to rinse with cold water first and then let sit any detergent on the stain area for few minutes and wash again with cold water voila.....not a single stain!

We keep it in a dark place. AND more recently we've purchased a gray opaque bottle to keep it in. But that said, it has always been effective. Perhaps peroxide doesn't turn to water immediately when exposed to light. Maybe it just looses some of it's potency.

That's a tough one. Try rinsing with water first and blotting dry. If that doesn't work, give this a try on a small area. Be sure to rinse it totally out.

We've always used the Blue Dawn, but the other color should work, just check for staining with the red dye.

We didn't originally and the solution worked great. We've recently purchased some grey opaque spray bottles and store it in that. But if you keep the solution in a clear or translucent bottle, and store the bottle in a dark closet it should be fine.

It worked on our 20 year old carpet. So I would guess that it would work on yours. Test in a small area that is under some furniture. If it works, then try in on the toughest area. Just remember to rinse the area with a damp rag and clean water when done.

I don't know. What caused the red stain? Wine, play doh, blood? My standard philosophy is to first test the spot with water and a clean rag. If that doesn't work, try a little of this cleaner. test and evaluate.

We think the blue Dawn works best, but you can try something else.

We have used it many times on Upholstery, and it has worked great!

Dawn is a powerful degreaser and cleanser. You could try others, but we've only used dawn.

Test in a small area first to see if it changes the color. If not, then proceed.

Not sure about your question but here is a method that works: In a large bowl or bucket pour 2 cups of warm water add 1 tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar mix the ingredients together dip a clean cloth in the mixture wring out the cloth to prevent saturating the carpet gently press onto the stain with the towel instead of rubbing it so you don't embed it deeper into the carpet fibers after applying the solution blot with a clean dry cloth alternate with applying the cleaner and blotting it up until the stain is gone once it is removed dab it with a sponge dipped in clean water then blot with another dry cloth to soak up the water If the stain remains or traces of hair dye are leftover pour rubbing alcohol onto a clean cloth and blot the stain until it's gone Hope was helpful let me know if it works if not I can tell you another solution

Bella Crutch its still dawn straight it’s just straight watered down dawn. So sure have use dawn straight to treat stains its actually works.

You can try a different one, but it may not be as powerful as blue Dawn.

I'd try the pet formula because most of them have enzymes that kill the odor. But if it doesn't work, you'll have to consider replacing the carpet - that would be sad.
