My daughter plays Baldur's Gate 3, and she, too, loves that character! By the way, does Not My Cat live next door? Does he go home at night? He's a great big, beautiful fluffball so it's not at all surprising that you let him visit all day. This way, you get the loving advantages of having a cat without the veterinarian bills!
The best crafting tool I own is my press. Snaps, grommets, eyelets, leather hole punching, etc, it can do so many things. I bought mine in 2009 and it’s saved my crafting life so many times 😂
I love the uncountable amount of eyelets , really looks so cool! Also I countinue to be delighted by not your cat just casually half moving in, I would not have the heart to kick out such a cute and cuddly flooffer either!
I made a Final Fantasy XIV cosplay once, where I had to add a LOT of eyelets. Sadly I don't have a machine like that, just your average eyelet pliers. So I set almost 90 eyelets in one evening and my hand way DEAD afterwards
I love this outfit, but I love the big horn headress! Also, I was in the middle of making a jumpsuit for aerials and watching crafting channels in the background, and you reminded me about the scales... so I cut a bunch out of sparkle velvet.... and now there is sparkle velvet fluff everywhere and I haven't cut out the jumpsuit yet. Keep reminding us about the scales! I am shipping from Canada so I want to make a bunch before I send them, and I'll forget them in a box.
Karlach would 100% wear this to a ball or fancy event if there was one in the game! This turned out great, and was such an inspiration on making what you have work for you. The way you turned not having enough black eyelets into a design opportunity with the line of silver eyelets? So clever!

I genuinely thought it was all leather from the thumbnail and the photos on instagram! It's so cool how fabrics can be used in such unique ways that our perceptions can just be totally off :) I love this and want to try it with colorful scrap fabrics like you suggested!!
Much as I generally hate French seams (they're great till you need to split a seam for a cuff or placket or somethng), that does sound like a good solution to velvet. I used to do a lot of sewing with the stretchy velvet and I used to just pin the CRAP out of it. That looks really cool and now I'm tempted to to eyelet together a princess seam vestmade out of something fun!

weeee ! I have started sewing some scales (40ish so far) but I realise I need to embellish them now (the agonizingly long part). I have chosen fabrics with interesting reflecting quality (in my opinion) but I guess some added sparkles can never do harm. ;) Can't wait to see you unpack them.

Darn good thing that you had a machine for the million eyelets!!! It's perfect for the game and looks much more wearable than some of the so called fashion! So have you given Not Your Cat a name yet? Or found out the actual name? It's like the cat has decided that they live everywhere and you are all caretakers!
