I love her when she says “make a scarf” she actually goes through the time and effort to make a scarf. She doesn’t just buy a scarf from forever 21 and glue and iron on patch to it (no shade to other youtubers)
The scarf is wonderful and superquick. I knit and crochet so super easy but you don't have to do either of these these skills to learn to make these scarves. The little boxes I have been making for years. I taught my granchildren to make them at age 8 and they gave them to make family members. A big hit they were too! Love the photo display. They are versatile, too! Thanks!
I thought of this, too! I was looking for a way to create my own cosy blanket for a while. But I did not want to spend thousands of hours and money - I think I found the right video for that ❤️
Sure, but it might be bit thick and not very flowy. I would arm-knit instead or do proper crochet (she does like a half of basic stitch), maybe half-columns. Both are easy to learn, if you dont have any prior experience. You wont need quite as much yarn that way too. But Hermiones way would create pretty awesome blanket for a cat or a small doggie :)
Great DIY Christmas gifts. I'm usually not to fussed with making gifts myself, but I can see myself doing all of these. Especially love the scarves and photo holder. Thank you from Australia x
Hi Hermoine!!! I've so sick and working which made me more sick. In U.S. we celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday. So Im on vacation. So happy to see I have 3 videos to watch Yay! TYFS!
Did not expect to see the Love Yourself: Answer BTS stickers here! I am a new subscriber and was pleasantly surprised to find out you like BTS as well!
Fun diy alternative for the hot water bottle: make one out of fabric, fill it with oats and heat it up in the microwave. (But be careful tho when heating, there is always a risk of fire) Aaaand you can also use this oat-fabric-pillowthingy cold, just put in the freezer for an hour and tadaa!
After watching the scarf part, I realized you are crocheting with your hands instead of a crochet needle/ hook!! Its called a chain stitch, i believe? I used to crochet many moons ago, so I want to try this! TFS, my friend!⚘
The maxi crochet scarf is xtra cute, but absolutely expensive cause this wool is not produced in my country... People hack the maxi knits by buying yards of fabric and putting it together on a sewing machine but its so bothersome...
Questions about the scarf: 1) How many yards were in each skein of wool? In my local craft store here in the U.S., the yarn (as we call it--but you know that, I'm sure) is on sale for $5.99 a skein, and it iss 97 yards. Do you think 1 will be enough for 1 scarf? And if not, 2) how do you attach the next skein, and 3) when, as in how long should you leave a piece before attaching the next skein? Thanks for sharing this. It looks pretty easy and quick to make. If mine is successful, I will be making them as gifts for and would make great gifts for the females in my family: 3 nieces, my sister, my mom, and of course me ( (LOL--I'll make mine first as a test). And if they turn out, maybe 2 cousins. Maybe a friend, too. So I will need to stock up on the yarn! I am loving all of your Christmas and other videos. I'm getting lots of inspiration! Thank you for sharing your ideas and creativity with us! Merry Christmas (early!)!
LeeLee look on Pinterest for directions or RU-vid since this scarf or a throw have been around for awhile and you will have an easy time finding detailed instructions. Good luck.
I didn't know people still used hot water bottles :) I LOVE the blonde in your hair ! So pretty! And I LOOOOVE the scarves !! tfs 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
I have heaps of stickers because I was in Stickii Club for about a year. I mostly use them in my task journal to motivate me! Also, pretty things are designed to be used. And if you use them you can buy more....
I am 11 months late to this comment but a rly great gift is a sugar or salt scrub. There are soo many amazing and easy recipes online put it in a cute mason jar and wam bam lol
The scarves are so cute!! And a great project for teens. But my knitting/crocheting, sheep owner's teeth were it hung everytime you called the yarn wool! Lol. I'm like, nah girl, that's plastic and not wool. Lol
I can't sleep most nights without my hot water bottle... i think it's a phycological thing now.. I live in Melbourne, Aus and its predominantly cold here all year round.
Hey Hermione! Your ideas are AW-SUUUUM & indie as usual love them so much! I'm making the last one but choosing pics I can trim down to a xmas tree shape...pointy one at top...to resemble a tree. Maybe a small string of lights on there too. TSM for inspiring me 🎄🎁🎄
I love you with the glasses! And i have contacts cause I hate glasses! Love the scarves but my Aldi doesnt have the yarn Oh and I am a BIG fan of hot waterbottles!! I always sleep with two. Also when it is not even that cold
Hi Hermione! Would you mind letting me know the length & width of the scarves please... odd question I know but I’d like to make a throw for my bed in the same style so just want to work out how many wads of wool I’d need to make a throw for my bed (or technically a scarf for a giant (if I ever ran into one 😂🙈) xxx
As a dane doing a lot of diy projects and furniture in my house atm, I find it so confusing when Brits talk about Danish Oil 'cause it doesn't exist here 😂😂 We have stains and oils 🤷♀️
Kind of like when I moved from England to Canada, everyone talked about English muffins. Either I led a sheltered life back home, but I'd never heard of them!
where’d you find the chunky wool i tried finding it at walmart but it costed 11+ dollars i’m 12 and i don’t have money (as you can imagine) so if you can send some sort of link i would really appreciate it
I really love this scarf 😍 and I am planning to create a cosy blanket. As I am not from the UK (I am from Germany), I was wondering if you could give me some more details about the yarn. How thick is it? And how long was your yarn? Thank you for the inspiration ❤️
Hermione! I love all these DIYs BUT I live in South Florida, so neither I nor any of my family members or friends have a need for winter gear. Do you have more holiday gift ideas that are season-neutral?
We’ve never used hot water bottles. We use heating pads that we plug in (they shut off automatically for safety) If we get up to use the bathroom, our cats steal the spot!!
