DIY CNC Crash Fail

did that on my new vise recently , theres a 1/8 end mill swirl mark on one vice jaw..it was a nice vise , so im glad i got it over with

I have that mark on one of my vices, only a tad deeper. at G0, about 12m/min. 10mm carbide 3 flute. A massive dent in my ego. It was the erratic 'lead in' of the 3d adaptive in Fusion that is spastic. A 2mm lead in makes up for a 25mm offset or so. Makes no sense at all. It was the day that I started using the vice as a fixture in the setup of the cam. I made a habit of simulating all my programs, observing the lowest Z when posting the cam to the machine in the code (posted in the first few lines of the gcode), but this one just slipped through.

You might wanna have an override for your feeds and speeds.
