I’m not much of a jeep guy but I completely respect anyone who says “how much do they want for that??” No thanks I’ll build it myself. The Rig looks and wheels great! thanks for taking the time to take everyone along for the journey..
I've been watching your videos for a while and I'm impressed at your workmanship and the in-depth videos. The only downside is every time I see your video it cost me money lol
Great vid once again been following your build and adventures for a while my Jeep build is very similar to yours just wondering what size springs and shocks you were running front and rear prior to the coilovers and did going to coilovers make a big difference in how your Jeep performed?
There isn’t really a standard, but my shock is 15 degrees back. The more angle on the shock the less efficient it becomes as a shock. I would try and get it as close to straight up and down as possible, With the room you have.
I don't know if you'll see this but I'm considering going coilovers in the rear. I just wanted to ask if I should outboard shocks or just go straight to coilovers. I'm considering both options I already have 4 Inch lift springs to go along with a rear 4 link for the rear.
Depends on your budget, if you can do it once with coilovers that’s what I would do. But if you can afford coilovers right now, out-boarding the shocks is definitely worth it.
Thank you for this I've been trying to figure out how where to even start to get some shocks like this on my jeep. Can you say that you prefer theses over the fox shocks now that you have them on?
How do you know how high your Jeep will sit after you take it off the jack stands? Like how do you know how high or low to mount the tower? And how did you pick what size tower?
I love the stuff you build and enjoy all of it. I am currently building a 78 j10 that is going to be my farm/off road jeep that I just started the process on RU-vid I would appreciate it if you would check in and comment also suggest anything you might do to make this project better that I might be missing. Thanks for all your content love it
I’m gettin ready to get the same shocks from accutune how well did they preform with there tuning an how did you figure out your sprung and unsprung weight and what is the angle for your rear coilovers?
Would you be able to recommend a similar setup for a JK 2 door? I'm looking to try and use a GenRight fuel tank and go to coilovers without having to absolutely cut into my tub and lose my backseat
If you mounted the bracket for the Coilover further down on the axle, do you think you could have avoided chopping into the Tub? I got 14”s myself and am looking to minimize lots of nipping and tucking on the body.
Could you tell me what welder that you are using for most of your work? I would like to be able to weld trusses and brackets to frame and axles. General fab work on my LJ is what I am trying to do. Any info or advice would be appreciated.
@@MuddyBeards4X4 Can you talk about the process of working with Accutune in a future video? I am interested to know what information you gave them, what questions they asked and how you think the Jeep rides now.
@@Fix_It_Again_Tony if you call them you get to talk to a real dude and they’ll talk you through everything. They ended up being like three minutes down the road from me so I went to talk to them
can't agree with the auto tranny, I grew up with a stick and won't give mine up, Muncie is my choice, just gives me unlimited control on the trail in any situation
