only a piezo and a rubber between the piezo and the cymbal and for the choke I use an arduino nano 3D files - www.thingiverse.com/thing:5027147 my first choke test : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-IZqYxSomupI.html or ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v3FjSPsTuhU.html sensibility choke : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GwdlWABckI4.html
Hi Sam, I am writing to you because I find very interesting your project related to the piezo support (in SLS polyamide) of which you have sent files for 3D printing. My question is: can it completely stop the vibrations of the cymbal? And again, what thickness should the support have? Thank you for your attention. Sincerely. Antonio (Italy)
there is no midi modification to do, you have to take an arduino code to detect the touch, see video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lqg_Ze_OiiY.html and connect it like an FCR or any other choke switch, the module takes care of the rest (it obviously works better on a roland td27/td50)
Yesterday I went over to the music store to see the New Roland Acoustic electronic Drum kit played on them they sound really good i wanted to buy them, but when i asked about the cost for them was $10.000. way to much money, but now I'm thinking about making my own electronic drum kit as i already have a second Acoustic kit i just only needs to buy the ddrum Module $249. and pack of 5 Cables $45. and 5 triggers $ 142 . and the Evens D One Mesh heads on amazon 5 pack $242.00 it's a whole lot cheaper than $10,000.👍
@@simrtech3d i only went back to Acoustic not long ago as i couldn't get the feel of having so much open space from the electronic kit as i have been playing for many years on Acoustic kits 53 years to be exact. 👍
@@simrtech3d I am a Lefty Drummer, how long does it take you to get the beats down of a song down path, it only takes me 5 minutes. I taught myself how to play the drums at 6 years old, through Headphones, I had no music teacher way back then, checkout my Drum cover songs on RU-vid NewfieXbox66 i only play Classic Rock Tributes but now also playing rap songs like Dr. Dre songs . 👍
@@newfie66xbox76 To tell the truth, I don't know. I used to play in a church, and I played gospel music from the age of 6 until I was 22. I also played in reggae bands. Then I stopped, and now I'm almost 41, and two years ago I decided to get back into it. So don't worry, I don't have your talent
