This is so fantastic to see the method for the mandala and the application of the die. You are an amazing talent and thank you so much for sharing. I have been seeing the results of this style for a couple of years hoping for an actual tutorial on HOW to do this. Thank you Thank you thank you.
only practice will help here. It's not working out the way I want either, but every month I see progress as I understood, they should be of the same height, not very large. when pulling with threads, you can put a book or something flat on top so that the fabric is of the same height and keeps its shape
The whole process is quite long and monotonous. I try to show everything I do in general, so that it is clearer. Also, if you are interested in something specific - write and I will try to film it in the next video) thank you
Thank you! I tie only dry shirts sometimes it is difficult and I moisten them a little from the sprayer, but dye only when they are completely dry. otherwise, there is no way to avoid white areas
Yes, I sell shirts from stock and also make them to order. I'm really glad people find it interesting. For me, dyeing is a wonderful way to distract myself from the war in the country, and it also helps me survive in new conditions because I lost my home and everything I had due to the fighting. Right now, I'm saving up money for a camera to shoot higher quality videos and learning how to edit, so I hope that eventually I'll be able to create higher quality content that people will enjoy watching. Thank you)
So that the colors do not mix, it is necessary to separate the areas in the mandalas well, make them larger. If at the same time the paint does not saturate the fabric well - you need to experiment with a thickener, use a lower concentration
Any chance we could get a a normal speed video of you just tying the shirt? I understand the folding and dyeing, put Im struggling with the actual tying and even slowed down the video is too jumpy to actually see how you are tying the honeycomb part. Thanks
Sure. Honestly, for me, video editing right now causes way more problems than actual dyeing)) I'm preparing materials about the new T-shirt, I'll try to make the video longer, but so that the folding process is better visible
If you are watching on You Tube here there should be a wheel icon that is settings, I change the speed as that helps. Not sure if it is exactly what you want but might help in the mean time! Have a great day! Trent
This adds black spots to the background. You can see detailed photos of this T-shirt here, pay attention to the black parts in the background - that's it. instagram.com/p/C4VdnHYteOe/
realy cool shirt i have a few questions, how does this work with the dies ? i mean the end part u coler the back part and then u die it with some kind of black die , What is this Exactly and how you mix the dies ? there is no white color how does this work ?
Thank you. At the end, I apply black paint on top of the areas of the T-shirt with the background. Black color covers any other colors, the result can be seen on the background of the T-shirt, there are black spots visible all over the background.
@@psydyeuathx for the answer but how is it posible that u cant see any white spots ? is this a special color or a special technik ? i try for myself to batik but at my tshirts the color is not evry there so i dont realy understand how the color can get so deep in that there is no white anymore
@@tziu3919 Oh, do you mean that the T-shirt is completely dyed and the color is saturated throughout the fabric? I apologize, English is not my native language and I find it a bit difficult. I struggled with this for a long time, but I found that I can dye without white spots by prewashing the T-shirts in Synthrapol, and I also dye them completely dry. After washing in Synthrapol, the fabric takes the dye very well, and you only need to apply a few times in one spot to avoid white spots. I hope I helped you, if anything, feel free to ask, I'll tell you what I know)
@@psydyeua Thanks for the info, I am fighting the battle with white in mandalas right now. I do wash my shirts but you say with Synthrapol is better? Maybe I should wash a shirt with Dawn and see if it makes a difference.
