Indira, I love, love, love this lighthouse. Can't wait to make it. As you probably know, before technology, lighthouses used to guide ships in the night sort of like how God guides our path. Thank you for sharing this fabulous lighthouse. God bless and love, Janet

Paint the middle the same color as your base color, let it dry, then paint your blue, you will get that crisp line you want. Awesome video!

Lighthouse ist so beautifull! When you want to want to prevent bleading under the maskingtape, paint a coat of white paint (in this projekt) on the wohle maskingtape and let it dry. This is a advice from a professional painter from Germany. Greetings from the south of Germany 🙋😆

I love your colour choice. I love the blue. I might do aqua. I did a lighthouse themed half -bath for my husband's office.You and your channel have inspired me to begin again in creating nautical art pieces and even doing entire rooms! I made a little multi - tiered corner shelf where I placed several different sizes and colours of lighthouses. Some I made myself and others I purchased at some little shops in S. C. I found an old anchor and bought some heavy nautical rope. I painted the anchor, sanded it to add some patina to appear weathered with some light gray paint and hung the piece above the doorway simply as an art accent piece for the lighthouse bathroom. I'm adding some ships as well as some sailboats along minimalistic seashell art around my husband's man cave / office thank you again for being such an inspiration and for sharing your tremendous talent. I LOVE this, but I think I'd take the handles off the sides of the lantern, if possible. I don't know how easy/hard that would be, & that's my only thought. It looks great w/the handles, of course, too! I also love the color blocking, door, & the little details! Very creative! I used to paint & collect lighthouses, & now I'm inspired! Thank you SOOO much for making this video!!!

Hi Kathleen, this lighthouse is basecoated white, then it's taped when the basecoat is dry. To prevent bleeding when using tape to mask it's best to apply another coat of white basecoat (after taping) and allow it to dry and then paint the blue areas. By applying another coat of white, it seals off all the areas you would normally get bleeding. Another handy trick is when you apply the tape, use a hard eraser to run along the edges of the tape, before painting, to ensure it doesn't have any tiny gaps to allow bleeding.

Okay that is the best lighthouse diy I've seen yet! I absolutely love it! It's so sleek yet feels like the real thing. I always enjoy your DIYs. You have a calming and pleasant voice and it makes for good videos. And they're easy to follow! I love the blue. I'm not sure if it will go with my decor but who cares? It's beautiful! Oh and I have to tell you that I get bleeding with painters tape often 😂! I need a lesson!!

Heather Chamberlain load your brush with paint, offload excess onto some newspaper like you would with stencilling. Tapp the edge where the painters tape is but don’t press hard or it will bleed. Just tap/stipple over the area and allow to dry a little before applying more thin coats of color. You’ll get less bleeding this way on a textured taped off surface.

That turned out surprisingly well for it being Dollar Tree components. Very cute. I would have done something to the plastic doors and windows to make them look less plasticky, though, and maybe heated them up a bit to bend to the shape of the cylinder. Other than that, nice job! By the way, I agree with the others. You really do have a soothing voice.

I really loved the lighthouse that is so cute & lots of details fantastic project. Keep you your great pieces & you decorated around the lighthouse so beautiful & looks so real. You could use a tray to set it up that way if you need to move it you can. Hey there, I am new to your channel as of today. What a stinking adorable lighthouse. And I can make that oh my goodness. I love nautical things and have aspired to have a nautical themed bathroom all the way from the bottom third of the room being under the ocean with a few dolphins and fish and plants. The next section of has the fish that are at the surface, and the third is the wildlife above the sea The Birds sea lions seals you get the picture. Thank you so much for inspiring me to create more and to have something to build on for my bathroom that will cost me little of nothing to make.
