$320 West Elm inspired wall art recreated using $5 and a Dollar Tree mop head? You may think that sounds a little crazy but that’s exactly what I tried to do in this video!
Hope everyone is having a great week! I’m soo excited to share this video with you! I LOVE the way this project turned out! It’s so simple and cost only a few dollars. I really tried to include all of the steps in the video so you can follow along if you would like to create your own! I did this project as part of a Dollar Tree mystery box challenge with my friend Kate:

I've just spent 6 hours building a flat pack wardrobe with questionable instructions and parts with holes drilled in the wrong places...so exhausting, but it's done!! For under $10 you get the fun in creating it and WOW! I searched on West Elm and found the one you duped- Ya nailed it! I love the fringe! Got the juices flowing. Mop heads- who'd have thunk it? lol Way better than paying $390!!!!

I watch people like you and Drew (Lone Fox) because I hope your creativity will eventually rub off on me and the aesthetic in your videos is always so calming even with the background music. Great tutorial, Justin! This is exactly what I’ve been thinking about doing because I’m more of an instant gratification kinda girl. Weaving and doing it by the book it amazing, but too time consuming. This is the way to go. FYI... you can also use acrylic craft paints as dye by just adding water and mixing. It works great and gives lots of color options for pennies.

Great project! Who knew you could make something so special out of a mop and twine. I think you would really like a larger glue gun that is not attached to a cord, it was a game changer for me. Also a rotary cutter and mat board would make cutting the strings a breeze. Just a suggestion from a lifelong crafter.

Hi Justin! I’ve just started watching your channel and I love the projects that I’ve seen so far!!! You do great work! You’re a very talented guy!!! I love that your affordable projects look like they were bought from a store! Can I put in a small request...? I do love all of the angles that you use to show the finished projects at the end of the videos, but could you possibly do a zoomed out shot of the entire project? I feel like we get the idea of the whole thing from top to bottom with all of the wonderful shots you show. But I would love to see full “still” shots of the entire wall hanging, or whichever project you’re doing! Keep up the great work! 😊

I want to make crafts to sell, and you make things I can sell. Some crafters make things out of items from the dollar tree, and it ends up being something you can't sell, because there isn't a way to really finish them, so I really appreciate what you are doing. This looks so good, only half way thru' and know its gonna look good, thx for sharing how to attach the dowel I always struggle with that part. I'm gonna go out and get a microfibre mop head thingy, it's just the right texture of the ones in the stores, I've never of thought to use one.

Good Day! Always enjoy your videos, please keep up the good/fun work. Not familiar with West Elm I looked them up after watching this video. Om-gosh! Unbelievable $$$! Crafters of many styles we are lucky that we can make things for our self and others. We can see something we like and then figure how to do it and save OOOOOH so much money. For those of us who multi craft we have even a bigger pallet to work with. A BIG thumbs up, and hats off to all the crafters and those like Justin who love to share their ideas with how to dos. Turned out GREAT. What an awesome cheat with the mop for a woven look. I can imagine several color combinations being used for different holidays, even adding beads, charms or small ornaments. Also a helpful hint to trim straight ends is to use (packing or masking) tape on both sides of the hanging strings, cut and remove the tape....straight and clean. Looking forward to future videos.

I only have one problem with your channel. I wish you uploaded more than once a week. This is so pretty! I'd like to make a large wall hanging, so I'm going to try to find something a bit larger to make it with, but this is a great idea. I looked at the West Elm original, and it's a bit too colorful for what I have in mind, but I'll figure out something. I'm redoing my bedroom in shades of turquoise and green, so this would be perfect as a faux headboard.
